hi all,

We are deploying a new datacenter network based on Cisco ACI. For technical reasons, the networking guys have set the MTU to 8K. My Federation/Storage Fabric is in 9K.

Is there any SUPPORTED method to reduce the MTU to 8K on the OVC. vSphere can do it (I already did it with other non-HCI cluster).

Thanks.

Not in US, but LATAM.

Got the CX-60 Sport 3.3 Mild-Hybrid MY2024 on 2023. One of the first batch of the new generation. They took ages to fix some things but at its third year was almost ok. However, I went for service and got a "can not refuse" offer when asking to sell my MY2024 to the dealer. Got a MY2027. Same model, same trim, same engine.

Jesus christ, it feels like a different car. More responsive, accelerates faster and Its way more comfortable on the ride. Screen is a bit bigger and as I have ADHD, I noticed lots of other improvements. Small, but lots of them.

Hopefully it will stay the same.

On feb ‘26 I bought my first ever Caldigit product, a TS5+, with my new MBP M5 Max 16”.
Decided I would not get the Ivanky one because it has some power limits in the Thunderbolt ports and I needed more ports. Also, this required to work with Windows, too (but this became irrelevant as I transitioned to macOS entirely).

I have a Samsung G93SC running at 3480x1080 HiDPI @ 240hz (VRR) and a portable Viewsonic 4K OLED Monitor. Couple of disks, webcam, and other low power gadgets. I do use the Ethernet port @ 2.5 Gbps.

It does get really hot to the touch. Where I live, we are now at 23 Celsius ambient. External temp reached up to 70 Celsius. I updated to the latest published firmware and hav

La PC la usaba pa jugar y trabajar pero le dieron una MacBook Pro y ya ni la usa.

Cuando la fui a ver, la única cosa que me comento fue que el ventilador de la GPU se había malogrado y estaba trayendo el repuesto.

Me dijo 7K soles. ¿razonable?

Hi,

Just FYI. Brand new M5 Max MBP. Installed Parallels, moved my VM from Mac mini M4 Pro and Bridged Networking stopped.

Created a support ticket with Parallels and was told this is a known issue and they are working on a fix. The workaround is to use Shared Networking (which works for me).

However, I tried changing to Shared and no IP was assigned. I had to reboot the VM in order for it to work. YMMV.

Hey all. We have a mixed VMware licensing.

When we did the hardware refresh in late 2020, we bought perpetual licensing for 5 years (expiring this year) for a number of sockets. Time goes by and on 2023-2024 we had to scale up and bought a number of cores subscription licensing.

After quoting with broadcom (and, of course, got a 500% price hike with a 5 year obligatory term), we decided:

  • to move to Hyper-V next year,
  • not to renew the perpetual licenses,
  • get third party L1/L2 VMware support and
  • only renew the subs licensing.

Well, Last week Broadcom being Broadcom told us: “we won’t be quoting only the subs. you will have to renew everything”.

Luckily, the workloads convered

I'm visting a relative in the US and ordered a K3 Max VIA/QMK to AZ. Order confirmed 11/21, shipped on 11/24 via YunExpress. It moved from CN to HK, departed from HK to somewhere on 11/29. No updates.

Last mile will be handled by USPS but I think the keyboard won't get in time and I won't be there. What to expect? What can I do? Any recommendations?
