I'm almost certain the album is going to be called "PIRATE". A while ago I think it was on 4chan that someone named "mc ride" posted saying that the next album would be called PIRATE, and of course nobody believed it. However, in the ID3v1 tags on Govt. Plates..
Possibly intentionally left there, or maybe just an oversight on their part (who uses ID3v1 tags) because some of the songs got pulled off of the actual LP.
GO GO GADGET GOSSIP!
EDIT: The ID3v2 tags say Government Plates! I will bet money that they forgot to change the ID3v1 tags, because they also didn't put the full name.
So DG has made it pretty clear that they change styles a lot, and they're probably going to release a new LP next year.
I honestly want something even more stripped down than NLDW, and even more aggresive. I imagine just Zach's drumming and Ride's angry shouts, and some noisy bass synths. No melody. But honestly that probably won't happen. What do you guys think?
I think they rotated the license plate so it would appear to face the camera on theneedledrop's review. That seems a lot more logical than the iPod Classic thing. Just a little thing I noticed.
This would make proximity detectors that take advantage of animals not moving when you are over 32 blocks away much more reliable, because instead of relying on them randomly choosing to walk, you could know that theyre going to try to walk toward the item frame. This is the proximity detector I'm talking about:
That is an example of it being used as a trap, but it can be used for practical purposes as well, such as only triggering a redstone contraption when you're within a certain range. If animals could be attacted by something (like my suggestion), this trick would be a lot more reliable!
Here are my personal theories for the concepts of these albums:
NLDW starts off with him 8 floors up in an abandoned building (obviously) where he is presumably shooting down at cops/people, and throughout the album he is in hiding (after murdering a bunch of people in the first track), while still going about doing crimes/drugs/fucked up torturous shit, until the closer, where he fakes his death (Hence the "artificial" death). I think the song is about after he faked his death seeing how people he knew were reacting to him dying, and not being able to do anything about it. "I'm barely there, I'm everywhere"
GP is a lot less concept oriented (as far as I can tell?) but by the looks of the m
