First decent looking Quintesson Judge I've seen. Of course, it's a Blockees blind box model. So $13 for a 1/6 chance, $80 for to all in the Wave for certain, something like $20-25 for a single off eBay.

Love Blockees models, but hate these blind box series. I'd have bought like 20 single models from them by now, but buying the entire series is just out of my budget.

(For those unfamiliar, if you do by the 'Whole Set' series case from them, in this case 6 figures, you are assured to get each one with no duplicates.)

No entirely on topic (though some people here might be self-hosting services to do this), but I'm curious about how people are storing passwords, account info, and related information for everything.

Given with homelab setups you have a lot of more accounts across your server setup, and some common mindset, I figured what people here do would be helpful for me/interesting discussion. How people handle stuff across their machines is definitely related here. Whether you have SSO (if so what you using), you have lots of different accounts, or you have a lot of accounts reuse the password for the main ones across machine (that's me, I know it's not great security). My system is creeping towar

I've been using Dexcom G7 for about 2 years now. They fail from time to time, as I'm sure everyone here is a aware. I switched from MDI to Omnipod 5 about a month ago. Had my second G7 failure in that time tonight.

For the two support tickets since I started using the pump, the replacements seemed to be approve instantly with a notification they were sending a replacement.

My experience previously has been that the support tick didn't go to replace until the next day. I'm a night owl as well, so me dealing with submitting the ticket to support is generally evening to middle of the night. So it hasn't seemed odd for me not to get the replacement decision until the next day. Even a couple

I've been reading/working on a lot of virtIO stuff lately, and it got me thinking. VirtIO provides the client OS of a virtualization setup, with abstract and simple interfaces to devices (nic, block, etc).

So if you were writing an OS from scratch making drivers that talk to VirtIO devices specifically/only instead of messy hardware (with multiple drivers for different devices), you could just implement drivers for virtIO devices.

I know this isn't a new thing, I remember reading about people porting research OSs from one hardware platform to a micro-kernel or hypervisor back in the mid 200x. Like porting something made for PPC64 to x86_64, by porting it to talk to Xen on x86_64 instead

Who named Adora - Adora?

General Discussion

Couldn't find any previous threads on this from searching, but terms like 'named' and 'Adora' weren't really that useful, so pardon me, if I didn't find a previous discussion of this.

Started another watch through yesterday, and got to the reveal of where Adora came from - a baby that came through Hordak's experimental portal. She was raised mainly by Shadow Weaver, but who gave her the name 'Adora'?

In the OG series, Randor and Marlena, named the twins Adam and Adora (just realizing as typing that Adora is a female version of Adam). In the comics, part of brainwashing/rearing was to take on the name Despara. A name I could see Hordak coming up with, or at least approving of Shadow Weave

Amazon Prime has free (with Prime subscription) via Twitch regularly. They have XCOM: Enemy Unknown Complete Pack currently available, believe it will be available through July 31, 2026. This is GOG key, so one you get the key and redeem it, you aren't dependent or connected to Amazon/Twitch at all.

Many here (like me) likely have the game on one platform or another, but many here may only played X-COM 2. If you have prime subscription, don't let it go to waste, either redeem it, or pass it on to someone who will use it.

Not very Starfleet, but I saw pretty Janeway. In the sector after Scorpion (Sector 7?). I've got 211 crew, 50+ idle. I don't pay much attention to the crew size beyond whether I'm running low or not, but this has to be high. 12 Emergency quarters II take up a lot of space.

Anyway to ask some people to leave? I'm considering trashing my morale or trying a combat without shields, see if I can whittle down the numbers some.

Recently switched from MDI to a Pump (diag 15+years ago), so logging my carbs more carefully. Grab my go to sugar for a low "Hawaiian Punch Fruit Juicy Red", 10floz bottle. Looking at the label just to double check my memory that these are 13g carbs (i.e., not 12 or 14), like have been for the last decade I've been using them. To be clear, this isn't a diet/low cal/whatever version.

#They are. It's now 6g for the bottle!

HP started adding Sucralose to a lot of their products back around 2011, but this big carb drop has to be more recent than that. I found a bottle that I had missed my recycle bin, and been on my bedroom floor for a while (absolute max age 2 years, expiration May 2026)

Just had my training and setup with Omnipod 5, linked with Dexcom G7. I didn't expect it to be silent, but just the basal ticks are loud enough to hear with earbuds in.

I admit I have somewhat freakish hearing (on two separate occasions, I have had nurses be certain that I was cheating on a hearing test). Is this an issue for anyone? I guess I should get used to it over time, but it being it CLICKING every 5 minutes is not what I expected.

I've got some 5¼" inch drives floating around. Don't know if they are functional, over even what kind they are (360K? 1.2MB?). My vintage stuff isn't really PC (HPPA, SGI, Mac) or laptops with limited connectivity. Any suggestions how to hook up these drives? I can do SCSI, probably PCI, whatever connectivity I can sort out on G3 eMacs or G4/Intel Mac minis.

I don't have anything with ISA slots or a built in floppy controllers anymore. It used to be I could pick up an old PC from a thrift store (I'm in US) that would probably get me most of the way there. At some point, shops just stopping have old machines or even much computer stuff around at all. Goodwill seems to have moved a lot of t

So the goldbox games provide the paladin ability to cure disease, clerics get the 3rd level spell cure disease (ofc available at temples), and in some a magic item, Periapt of Health (which makes the wearer immune to disease).

But where is the disease? Is there disease anywhere in any of the goldbox games?

The closest I can find is my cleric having access to the reverse version of cure, Cause Disease. Have never played with that spell, but I'm talking about PCs getting disease. So this spell would count if there is anything in the games that actually cast it.

So anyone seen any diseases recently?

Or a brief summary the characters that come out of 12+ hour ADHD hyperfocus playthrough of Secret of the Silver Blades.

Pardon if this is a bit random and all over the place. I only had 4 hours of sleep last night, still need to breakfast for today (Saturday). Wouldn't recommend this way of playing, but it was a helluva of a lot of fun.

I had left off at approximately Dungeon Level 8 the other day, completed the game today, including every optional bit, and more Castle Guard encounters in the Western Crevasses than I could count (at least 50 encounters with them alone, 10 Wands of MM used up, all the other wands had turned to ash before I got to the past Frost Giant Land)

I find my play

There is a whole subreddit for this procedure, r/Septoplasty , but pretty much no one with EDS sharing on it. Anyone that has or assisted someone with EDS (hypermobile) through this procedure or similar sinus surgeries.

  • What was your experience like?
  • What helped during recovery, what didn't?
  • Anything you wish you had done/not done?
  • Anything you wish you had talked to your doctor about?

Of course, my medical questions are being asked of my doctor and medical care team. People how have been through often has advice that others might not think about, especially in terms of EDS.

The r/Septoplasty is great for general experience, definitely suggest checking it out if you're go
