I want to print car interior parts that don't melt on the first July day with full sun. PLA Plus has failed me. I am a dedicated tinkerer, but I want to know if it's a simple swap-out or if it is a deep hack to make it work.

I understand that nylon carbon fiber (about 300C deg, vs standard 210 deg) is both heat resistant and dimensionally stable for this application. Has anyone had success with upgrades to do this? As I understand, it's a:

  1. Hot-end upgrade for sure,
  2. Possibly an extruder gear upgrade (hardened gears?)
  3. Possibly an enclosure for higher heat
  4. Or is heat annealing after printing all you need? Have a sous vide setup which I understand can do annealing to the tenth of
