I'm working on a project in Haskell and would like to share my progress with some friends. However they all use Windows and I'm on Linux. I had a little look online and found https://www.usebox.net/jjm/blog/cross-compiling-haskell/ which seems intimidating. Surely this is something cabal should just be able to handle? Is compiling Haskell for Windows from a Linux machine as difficult as it seems or is there a simple way I'm missing?

Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask.

I am trying to serialize records that could not normally be serialized by using an extra record field. For example:

data Task where
  Task :: (Serialize t) => {doThing :: IO (), represent :: t} -> Task

Then I would like to implement the Serialize interface by accessing the record's represent value. However this requires the Task type to be Generic which cannot be derived (in this case) and cannot be manually implemented.

For context record types of this form are being used like existential types (eg: handleAccountCreation :: User -> Task). Getting this to work for existential types could also work.

Hello, I would like to work on a shared project/document with my close friend who does not know how to use this editor (fair enough). My original idea was to use a vim extension on google docs however the only good one is paid and I'd rather avoid that.

Does anyone have any alternate solutions?
Real-time isn't a priority at all but I wouldn't mind it. I would rather not have to ask them to install stuff on their end or force them to learn too much because they're not very tech-y but I'm more than happy to fiddle around with tools and learn stuff etc (so no git). Ideally it would be possible to edit from the command line on my end but that's not necessary either.

I would like to use a command line based email client however after trying aerc, nmail and neomutt I haven't been able to get anything to work (as well as thunderbird). I believe this is because my organisation requires 2FA on my account. I have managed to get this working on the outlook web client because it allowed me to setup my 2FA.

Does anyone know how I can use this account with a command line based email client on arch linux?

Quick question: I copied wyeadblock's adblock .so to /urs/lib/vimb (the extension directory) but I'm still getting ads. What possible things could have I done wrong and any possible fixes? (I installed wyebadblock-git 170.529a5ee-1 through AUR) My example is: https://tmuxcheatsheet.com

Perhaps wyeadblock only blocks certain kinds of advertisements?

Also if this is the wrong place to ask pls point me where to ask this :)

New TLDR: C Hello world program doesn't work when compiled to .8xk (arch linux, ti-84+)

UPDATE: I have used rabbitsign to get basicbuilder's .hex outputs into .8xk app files. However my only testing uses 8xp files taken from my own TIbasic code written on the calcultor. When I try to use the z88dk compiler to turn my simple c code into .8xp (or .83p) files they cause "Err: Undefined". Is this caused by dumb compiler options or because there's no standard output on the calculator.

#include <stdio.h>
int main() {
    printf("Hello World!");
    return 0;
}

I am using a TI-84+ and am using arch linux
So I have written a .8xp file that is very simple (Disp "Hello World") and I am using a program called basicbuilder that looks like it combines multiple programs together into one .hex file. However when I try to put my .8xp file into basicbuilder is says I have an "Invalid header". What mistake have I made? Is there an extra compile step I need to do?

Also TiLP2 shows that all the applications are .8Xk files but the builder I have generates .hex so I don't even know if that's going to work at all.

TLDR: How do you generate (in runtime) an R-tree to contain a set of 2D spacial data (also calculated in runtime) for use in a cluster analysis algorithm.

Context:

Hi first post here! So because I'm an idiot I decided to write my own terrible 2D physics engine that can handle arbitrary concave polygons which means no GJK collision detection algorithm. I've managed to find a way to sample space and get a big List of points where the two objects are overlapping and now I need to use cluster analysis to separate different areas of overlap. From there I am already working with my physics teacher(s) (I'm the British equivalent of a high-school senior) to handle collision response.

TLDR: enable rescource pack on command

So I'm working on a modpack and I want the skybox to change when when you get the final key item for the first time (from crafting). FTB quests has a feature where completing quests can run command block style commands and resource packs can change the skybox so does a mod exist that can enable/disable rescource packs from commands?

I'm working on a modpack where you need to kill a miniboss/boss to proceed to the next tier of automation/industry. I was wondering what the rough difficulty levels of all the minibosses and bosses in the two mods in the title is so I can choose the right bosses for the right tiers. And if you have any other mods (1.16.5) that have cool monsters and bosses feel free to suggest them :)

One of the targets in alpine hospitality has a zombie in their bathroom that they say they will give you a million dollars for. I have used the DNA scrambler on the zombie and spoken to him again after but nothing is happening.

Just want to confirm that you can't actually get the money at all and this is a little practical joke of some kind.

Disclaimer: I'm not very blender experienced. And barely experienced with UVs (although I would like to be able to understand them if I can get my head around them)

So I am trying to recreate (or make my own version of) Jared Pike's "Dream Pools" artwork (just google it comes up super easily). I have managed to get a basic tile material working with some shine and some displacement. My goal is to have these tiles (all equally sized squares) on various architecture/geometry of irregular sizes and shapes with minimal seams etc. Is there a clever technique so that I don't have to painstakingly create the UVs each time? (So far I have managed to make it function on cubes of any scale using a l
