Looking for an Roleplay server if someone is going to have one even unoffical.

I've been waiting for ARPG game like this forever. I'm old 51 years old to be exact. I'm playing on SSF hardcore. Death is common and real, but I love every minute of it. My son is 16 and is playing SSF hardcore and he is dying as well.

My wife, daughter, son and I are all playing Hardcore together and the struggle is real. It is so much fun. I would be falling asleep playing Diablo 4 right now. Even POE became way to easy unless you played Ruthless SSF Hardcore.

I hate just running through maps as fast as you ken smashing a button. That is silly.

This feels like an adventure and I'm here for it.

Just curious if anyone was running any leagues or playing around the Houston, TX area. I'm on the north side of town.

I'm assuming I start with the 2nd edition rulebook. What books are must have right away, if I want to make sure I have the maximum amount of depth aka all additional systems that were added. Money really isn't an object.

How does a "league" work in frostgrave? Does the rulebook say how to run a league? What is a good number of warbands for a league to work? How does the game handle when you have a warband who is higher level or more successful than another warband in a league.

Ultimately how do you win a campaign?

Do all the different campaign books add new stories or are they mean to be used in a linear fashion, where each campaign book is setup for a certain level of

Well, I'm about to make the jump. I spent a ton of time looking at 40k, old world and age of sigmar. I think age of sigmar fits me best. There are games around my area and I've always been more of a fantasy guy.

I only ever really did d&d miniatures as a kid (2nd edition), but I was always addicted to warhammer video games e.g. starting way back from shadow of the horned rat.

I have every total war warhammer and I want to play a viking like culture like the Norsca.

Out of all the armies out there, who are most like the Norsca? I would really like to avoid the demon style chaos troops though and just use berserker / Viking warriors and maybe some type of wolves/bears etc
