Every once in a while I get a bad batch of Dexcoms that just fall off after an hour no matter what I do.

It’s as if the glue is crap and I just get my month’s supply that came out of the machine when there was a problem.

This is the 3rd time I’ve gotten a bad batch and had to go weeks without because they are such crap. And yes I know I can open a ticket and they’ll send you one but eventually they cut you off and when you get a box of 9 sensors and all nine only last a hit an hour before falling off.

Ugh. I wish I’d never switched from the G6 to the G7 although their quality control sux so bad with the G7 I don’t even have confidence in the G6 so I don’t want to go back.

Sorry j

Hi. I’m feeling lost.

My school library offers a few books that use Adobe Digital Editions and so I’ve downloaded the software and download the book.

But I can’t seem to figure out how to open the file because there seems to be no Open option in the software.

Has anyone figured this one out ?

Thanks ! Chris

Apple Books Export

Support / How-To

Hi. I have a number of books that I had originally downloaded in ePub format. I copied them into the iBooks app on my mac so I could easily read them on my iPad.

Now the day has come to copy them out again and... well those who have tried know that Apple messes with the format.

I've done the trick of compressing the not-so-real ePub file and renaming it and it does import into Calibre but all the metadata is gone. Is there a plugin or app that I can use to convert this now messed up ePub that apple spat out into an actual properly formatted ePub or is this a game of manually compressing the file, renaming, and retyping all the meta data...

Let this be a lesson to keep backups of the or

Hi. I would like to track an APRS beacon and be notified if it travels X far from a designated location.

I’m not seeing this on existing HTs with receive and haven’t seen any other folks do this already.

My current thought would be to build something out of a Raspberry PI to listen and then display a track on the screen and then alert if a packet is sent from the monitored station from outside of the set radius.

Has anyone ever seen something similar “out in the wild” or is there something already available?

Thanks Chris - KB1KNW

Has anyone else found their little X1C5 won't stay connected to wifi. Not a range or interference problem since they are sitting next to each other. Sometimes it connects other times it refuses. I'll run it overnight and wake up to find it's disconnected. No pattern I can find other than these days it rarely connects.

Hi. I was thinking about the "Portland Maine Cheat Sheet" https://www.portlandcheatsheet.com/

Is there a similar site that organizes free events in Boston. I know there are a ton of sites that list events but I've not seen something quite like the Portland one and was curious if there isn't one or if I'm just blind and missed it.

Thanks

HI. I just picked up an X1C5 Plus and have it "mostly" set up. So far it seems to work well, but as anyone who may have one knows the documentation is horrible.

Right now I've been able to set everything up except for Bluetooth. Specifically, I'm trying to pull GPS data and KISS information off. I'm on a mac and I've been able to connect the Bluetooth and I've been messing with the settings. I can't seem to get any data via Bluetooth though. I was hoping for at least GPS.

Has anyone had any luck with getting Bluetooth to work on the thing?

As I’m considering all of the freedoms that we enjoy in the USA on this July 4th the one that comes to mind strongest is the freedom to protest. Some might even call it the “obligation” to protest and make our voices heard.

This coming July 13th through the 15th the National Governors Association will be meeting in Portland. That’s all 50 states and a few territories sending their governors and their admin teams to discuss the issues affecting the states and the needs of the American people.

This seems like an obvious opportunity for those us who may want to ensure the US Governors know how we feel about certain issues such as the fundamental right to live private lives without governmen
