I'm inspired by some of the Hemnes hacks with the shelving and cabinets for our living room, but our preference is open-backed shelving. Has anyone done similar with the Hemnes range - it seems like the back panels are notoriously flimsy, so I'm thinking with some extra bracing in the corners it would be feasible, but I'm not sure if there are other reasons why it wouldn't work??

Hey y'all, looking for some help to find out what media resources are used by professionals in this space? I'm involved in the launch of a new exterior fabric and we're looking at where to aim our first round of 'traditional' advertising. I hope this isn't breaking Rule 2, I'm not looking to sell or promote directly. Thanks in advance.

I'm travelling into PVD tomorrow for a work trip and have a business dinner in Cranston before I can get to my hotel (down in Mystic, CT). Is there anywhere in town, ideally West side or Cranston, that I can get a guess pass or some sort of access to grab a shower? Thanks

Here's the situation - we're in the first year of owning an older home (TX) and it came with a home warranty, so as terrible as they're known to be, we've been trying to use it to get a faulty dishwasher repaired or replaced.

Yesterday, an appliance repair technician (assigned through a home warranty claim) came and made an attempt to repair the dishwasher. He replaced a part, but then said it needed a new water supply line, and this meant transferring the service request over to a plumber. He turned off the hot water supply under the sink (the dishwasher supply feeds off this spigot) until the plumber visit could be scheduled, BUT the water wasn't completely off and it turns out the water

Hey - I'm trying to find the contact details for father and son electricians, I believe both named Gilbert (Jr and Sr?). They did some work for me as part of a larger project organised through a GC, so I never got their details and can't find them online. Any help would be appreciated.

r/Insulation•

I have a detached garage I'm looking to insulate and turn into an office/workshop - here are the details:
- Zone 2A (hot and humid)
- Ridge vent but no soffit vents
- Plan to cool with mini-split
- 2x4 framing on walls, 2x6 in roof

I'm trying to keep costs down where possible so was hoping to do most as DIY. My questions:
- Can I use bats/foam board in the roof without any lower/soffit venting? There are so many conflicting answers, and most discussions seem to relate to heating spaces in cold climates (not cooling in hot). With the climate control of the mini-split, what are the considerations about moisture accumulation?
- A lot of people seem to recommend spray-foaming

I need to mount curtain rails and can't decide if EZ Anchors are good enough or if I should use toggles?

EZ's seem to rate themselves as being load bearing enough - the rails are 2 screws per mount, 3 mounts total per rail (ends and centre). Toggles feel like over-kill for this, am I wrong?
