My wife and I have been building this garden up for the past 12 years. It's gotten fairly full in that time. I tend to dig holes and knock things in place while she tends to the softer elements. I take photos every year on the 6th June (or as close to it as the weather allows). This year things are a little less tidy than usual.
After a year or more of consideration I recently purchased a pair of 5s. They’ve replaced my much used and loved pair of Play1s + Sub Mini combo.
Firstly, let me say the Play1s and Sub Mini punches well above it’s weight. I was never not impressed with the combo and what it achieved. However, the upgrade was an itch that I just couldn’t scratch (I’m sure we’ve all felt it before).
The research suggested the two set ups would be closer to each other than one might expect. I read that the Play1s and Sub combo was a close 2nd to a stereo pair of 5s, so maybe not worth the investment. After a week I’m going to say that the two sets ups are NOT close. The 5s absolutely take it without a quest
I'm mid 50s, been playing slow pitch in and off for the guts of 30 years. Normally a decent hitter, over average power & consistentcy UNTIL I decided to wear my glasses a few games ago( 1st time ever wearing glasses while playing). Results are mixed. Fielding seems cleaner and balls are easier to read. On the flip side I haven't hit a ball solidly in 10-15 at bats. Balls are being hit fairly square off the handle. Nothing else has changed that I'm aware of. I've tried standing up in the box without luck.
I jumped in without any BP so I'm not surprised it's effecting my timing. Anyone have suggestions on a quick fix that hopefully involves keeping the glasses?
Is there such a thing? I just want to buy a "smart" record player that can connect to my Sonos system without fuss or extra expense. Any recommendations or tips would be appreciated.
Thanks very much
