We just got back from a week in Oahu (mainly waikiki).

It was very beautiful and we enjoyed food, sights and, of course, the beach. We managed to avoid any major sunburns by wearing loose fitting clothing & hats. My partner got a minor burn on his hands (likely due to bad suncreen application).

We were coming from pdx, and were starting to get used to 70 degree days. The fact that it didn’t really cool down at night was a surprise to us. Luckily, we had days where the wind blew super hard and that really felt wonderful.

Staying near the southern part of oahu meant we didn’t have to rent a car. After we picked up our pass from the skyline station, we scanned our transit card multiple tim

We are getting ready for our weekend trip to anaheim, ca and of course we are one bagging it.

We don’t enjoy driving on our vacations, so we are taking the bus from john wayne airport to our hotel near the anaheim convention center. This means we don’t have to rent a car or pay the fee to park it.

We are spending most of our time at the convention center or nearby. It also looks like the weather will be nice enough to walk in

This made me wonder if any of you found added benefits to one bag travel you hadn’t anticipated?

Currently I’m looking at getting the xpac tomtoc wander t-26

The xpac looks to be water resistant for the continual drizzle when I’m out.

Am I missing any options with xpac (or similar water resist material), a similar approx 3 zipper section and orientation?

Not wanting a sling that looks like a backpack

Thank you!

I just recently heard about fabric rinses and they are supposed to help with getting smells out of clothes

Same with something called a laundry sanitizer

Was wondering if anyone has used it for handwashing synthetics when out on the road? Or even at home?

We get leafside, but didn’t know if there are any other convenient wfpb?

We just recently saw well your offerings, but it requires throwing in a pressure cooker (we mainly do pressure cooker on the weekend). We want more lazy ideas for during like microwave or add hot water to cook.

I’m planning for our trip to nyc and I’m trying to decide between a clothesline or hanger with clips (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PP2CBTD)

our hotel room is at pod times square. the pictures don‘t give me the impression that there are good places to hang the clothesline

since I’m shower washing each night, I want to ensure there‘s a place to dry my clothes. I’m leaning towards the hanger, but I’d love to hear opinions

I was recently browsing Amazon (bad idea I know) and ran across this 20L, 500 gram bag

my brain was reeling, because it seems to check off what I’m looking for in a new main bag.
it’s got a clamshell open

it’s not super heavy (a little over a 1lb)

currently, I use a 26L bag that is over 2lbs. With this new bag, it’d be so compact and not as huge as what I carry now. Also it’s not crazy expensive either

Has anyone used this bag? Any thoughts?

Has anyone ever tried using something like Fels naptha when washing clothes?

Normally I bring some powder detergent for sink washing or use body soap if I’m washing in the shower.

Recently, I came across something talking about how if the laundry soap is rinsed in warm /hot water, it rinses out thoroughly . OTOH, bad stains require the power of detergent.

It seems the Fels (or similar) might be good for one bag travel. Feedback appreciated

My partner and I recently went on a car trip for a wedding over the weekend.

I used it as an opportunity to test wash/dry a couple of items : socks and bra. Additionally, I had brought an extra set just in case they weren’t ready in the morning.

I washed them around 9 pm. I then put them in a towel to get out excess moisture and hung them to dry. There was some air circulation from the heater in our room.

Interestingly, the cotton/poly mix socks weren’t dry by 8am, while the cotton bra was.

TL; DR you can use your weekend trips as a way to test items you’re thinking of taking on longer one bag trips

So we decided to try to get our packing done before our flight and I am pleased I’m coming in under 10 lbs. Trip to DFW is to visit family for partner’s grandmother‘s 100th

Wanted to try carry on with an old backpack I had. It doesn‘t open up clamshell; but since I wasn’t planning on doing my usual bundle packing, it worked out.

I had a hard time weighing the backpack. it didn’t fit very well on the food scale, because I somehow doubt it only weighs 500 grams. However, it is lighter than my 25 L bag that I normally take.

If I’m going to use the backpack more often, I will want to look into a big cube. I prefer bundle packing to avoid creases since I prefer to wear things lik

I was reading a Pcgamer article and Yoshida is quoted encouraging players to do specific raids: coils, alexander and omega to more fully enjoy endwalker.

Since I skipped omega, does anyone have an approximate estimate of how long it takes to do this series?

thanks for your help!

Edit: I’m going to guess story mode should be sufficient for what is needed
