I was addressing my envelopes for Christmas cards tonight. Completely in autopilot, I addressed my UK friend’s envelope how I would a US one, so return address top left of the envelope and recipient address right-aligned toward the middle/bottom of the card.
Do you think it’ll still be delivered correctly? I know UK mail is supposed to have the address written on the left side.
Hello!
Looking to purchase my 2022 bullet journal and thinking about switching to the Baron Fig Confidant. Curious if anyone here has any experience with the notebook and would mind sharing their thoughts? I’m mostly curious if ghosting is a big issue? I typically only use micron pens, highlighters, and Crayola markers, but I’m thinking about purchasing a few Fabre Castell Pitt Artist brush pens or Tombow brush pens. Not sure how they’d take though.
I currently use a B5 Archer & Olive which is fantastic but it’d be nice to find something less expensive. In the past I had a Lemome notebook which I loved, but I’m much happier in a B5. Open to other notebook ideas as well if anyone has
I just signed up for insurance via the marketplace as my employer does not offer health insurance. I chose a HDHP with an HSA as I am young and healthy and it’s almost the end of the year. I have the money saved up to max out my HSA in one deposit. However I was given no instructions on opening an HSA from my new insurance (BCBS). Am I free to open it with any institution and will I need any kind of documentation from the insurance company? (I was looking at opening with Fidelity, but if anyone has other recommendations I will certainly explore them!)
If anyone’s had a similar experience, please advise. Thank you!
So I’m just now eligible to contribute to the Simple IRA offered by my employer. I won’t be able to contribute much, maybe about $100 each paycheck (paid every other week). They match 3%. I’ve been focusing on maxing out my Roth IRA, which is why I won’t be able to contribute much to the Simple IRA. I’m currently looking for a new job though, as there’s been lots of drama and the owners don’t really respect their employees here.
Is it worth contributing to, even if I may leave soon and not have much money contributed to the account? I know the Simple IRA is with Vanguard and I read they charge a $25 fee every year, which seems high given the small amount of money I expect to have saved. A
Just noticed today my employer is only taking out 5% for federal taxes. This seems low? I thought it was supposed to be 10%. I’m only making about 25,000/year gross, and I get paid every two weeks. I haven’t worked in the US for a couple of years, as I was teaching abroad (I am a US citizen though), but I could’ve sworn more than 5% was supposed to be taken out for federal. Am I missing something?
Also I’m single, no dependents.
If anyone is willing to share an estimate of how much their trip actually cost when going to WDW alone I’d really appreciate it. I’m currently working on saving up for a solo trip sometime next year, ideally for 4-5 days stay, but I’m struggling to figure out a good ballpark number.
So I was living abroad for awhile teaching English and just generally not paying any attention to my finances 🤦🏻♀️ I did always live within my means though and so I was able to end up with enough savings for a healthy emergency fund of about 4 months (I am planning on saving more to make this 6 months).
I’m back in the states now and I want to start taking retirement planning seriously. I got a new job which doesn’t pay a ton but it’s a good opportunity for me to switch to a different career. There’s no 401k but they have a SIMPLE IRA plan that I’ll be eligible to contribute to after working a certain number of hours. I believe the match is only up to 3% though.
So my question is this.
