Our main office sent my branch an MX700, but we're so far unable to get it setup due to needing an "Encryption Option Key."

From a similar model MX it looks like the part number might be LIC-CE-CRYPTO-K9, but we're not sure.

Our Cisco rep said this license is end of sale, and suggested we buy new equipment.

Is there anywhere we can buy a license so we can register this to Webex? One of our sales reps also contacted some brokers, but so far no luck.

Any ideas, or is the MX700 scrap at this point?

  1. Maximum budget.
Preferably less than 1k usd, though I could stretch it a couple hundred if there's a compelling reason to do so.
  2. Screen size.
At least 120" diagonal, but the bare wall is 20ft wide by 8ft 9in high usable area.
  3. Distance from back wall or preferred mounting position to screen wall.
20ft to the back wall. To ceiling mount it closer would be about 13ft high, and I'd rather not do a long down-rod for aesthetics. Cabling is also much much trickier for a ceiling mount (vaulted ceiling, no attic above).
  4. Seating distance to screen.
    About 12ft.
  5. How will you mount? (ceiling, rear shelf, table)
Rear shelf, unless I absolutely have to get it cl

We're having intermittent connectivity issues with our FortiWiFi 30E.

It will be fine for several days in a row, then go out 3 times in one day until we reset the device.

I'm the only technical person at our US office of 6 people, 20ish devices (linux and windows laptops, printers, NAS, cell phones, cisco video phones).

We share an office with two other companies, so our FortiWiFi 30E is connected to a Cisco switch controlled by one of the other companies.

Here's what I (think I) know so far:
- Physical topology: ISP <-> Arris router <-> Other company's Cisco switch <-> FortiWiFi 30E <-> wired and wireless clients
- The other company's connecti

We have a small US warehouse with offices in the front. A single FortiWiFi 30E currently gives great coverage in our offices and meeting room, and good enough coverage for the current laptop and phone usage in the warehouse.

The international home office wants to repurpose a Cisco DX80 video phone to communicate with our warehouse directly, and we're also adding a printer out there that doesn't have built-in WiFi.

The goal is to connect the printer and DX80 to a small switch in the warehouse and connect the switch to the FortiWiFI 30E in the front office.

The distance is maybe 100ft straight line between the FortiWifi and warehouse workstation, with 3 walls in between. I can run cat6 f

I work for a small IT hardware reseller and we have around a hundred DC power supplies we need to test (Juniper PN 740-043886).

We're setting up a dedicated test bench for the network gear we handle, and I'm looking for a cost effective, user friendly solution that we can train our receiving guys on to test DC power supplies as they come in.

I know someone with a hot-glued AD/DC converter with a switch and hacked up power cord, but I'd like something less sketchy. The new AC to DC variable power supplies I'm finding are 0-60v 5amp, or 0-30v 10amp, but my (limited) understanding is that the power supplies we have need a minimum of 7amps and -48volts. There are also some used HP/Agilent mod

I just bought one of the half racks and he has several partially enclosed full and half racks available at a great price. I think they all include some shelves and a PDU.

No affiliation other than I purchased one.

Edit: The seller contacted me to say they're all gone now.

  • Total budget and country of purchase: USA. $350 at most. Originally I was hoping to spend closer to $200, but that's looking unlikely.

  • Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply. Specs for the money are most important of those listed.

  • How important is weight and thinness to you? Wight is pretty important since my 12 year old is a backpack hoarder and will be hauling it around with all of his other treasures.

  • Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux. Windows

  • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. He has an 11.6" screen right now, so no smal
