The salary range is listed as being between 45k-60k, which is at best 5k less than what I'm currently earning. I was planning to ask for at least 80k. That's honestly the bare minimum that I would take to even consider leaving my current company.

Would doing the interview just be a total waste of time? I feel like companies who actually do give a salary range on their job listing tend to be pretty set on that number.

Edit/Update: I decided to reach out via email before the interview and just honestly tell the HM about my salary expectations. They appreciated the heads up and said they were doing another round of hiring with positions that were more in line with what I wanted and woul

I have no idea how, when, or why this became a "thing", but I realized the other day that when I touch my fingers to the floor within the line of sight of our bun, he comes over to me immediately (for head scratches, surely).

I couldn't believe it, so I asked my boyfriend to try it to see if he would come for him too, and wouldn't you know it, he did!

Is this instinctual, or some kind of Pavlovian response to our hand being associated with pets/treats?

It's not like a "when he feels like it" thing, either. He'll come even if he's loafing or full-on splooted. As long as he can see the hand, he'll respond to the gesture.

I'm mostly just in awe of how smart he is. We weren't even trying to

So I'm a stupid idiot and I accidentally threw my keys away at the gas station. I was basically on auto-pilot, so by the time I was finished and ready to leave, I had all but forgotten that I ever went over to the trash can to begin with.

After I realized that I was missing my keys, I was mildly freaking out, re-tracing my steps, checking under my car, trying to see if maybe I dropped them before I got out, checked my own hands literally 4 different times to make sure I wasn't holding them...

Throughout this process, 5 different people stopped what they were doing (pumping gas, working, about to pull out and leave) to help me look for my keys. Eventually one of the men asked if I might h

Where we live is an exceptionally difficult rental market. About a month ago, after literal years of scanning listings every day, my boyfriend and I finally found a condo that is superior to our current apartment in every way imaginable, for a decent price relative to this area. We were both initially very excited about it and eager to move in, but it was still in escrow. Escrow has finally closed and we were given the lease to review today. But with more than a month to mull over the decision, I'm having major doubts.

$3500 will be due upon signing the lease (rent + deposits). We'll also owe $1625 for our current rent on the same day. A washer/dryer isn't included, so that'll be at least a

This seems to be happening more and more.

I'll get a notification for a comment reply on my phone, check to read the comment immediately, only to find that it's not actually there, as if it had never been posted to begin with.

When I go to the user's profile, I can see the comment there, but cannot reply to it.

It doesn't appear that they were deleted or manually removed, and there would be no reason for them to have been auto-modded. For example, this has happened to me several times on pretty non-controversial subs like r/Rabbits and r/gaming when having perfectly benign/friendly conversations.

Sometimes I'll be logged in on my PC and I'll never get the notification on my account, but

From what I've gathered, she and her roommate found somebody's pet rabbit by their mailbox (likely abandoned), and her roommate decided to keep it.

I don't consider myself to be an expert on rabbits, but I've done a lot of research about them. My dream is to open a rabbit rescue one day.

Since we both have rabbits, we talk to each other about them from time to time. It's clear to me that her roommate isn't taking the best care of this rabbit. A few things that have come up:

  • Kept in a cage/hutch not nearly big enough for it
  • Not getting much/any floor time
  • Not being fed the best diet
  • The rabbit is aggressive, likely because it is not neutered/spayed, nor does it get enough exercis

Apologies if this is the wrong sub for rent-related questions. I'm not too sure where else to post for advice.

My boyfriend and I found a great condo, did a walk-through, got our application approved, and are one step away from getting into lease negotiations. My only concern is that the condo is still in escrow.

It's looking like everything should be finalized toward the end of April and the agent we've been talking to wants to set our move-in date for mid-May. I must give my current landlord 30 days notice, so I can either do that now and risk escrow falling through, or wait until everything is 100% finalized and have some overlap with my current rent and the new rent.

I pre-ordered KH3 from the SE store and I'm curious about the shipping method(s) that they typically use for pre-orders, primarily the carrier. I found this on the site:

For all countries, USA included, the delivery of your product will be handled by USPS or UPS, or any carrier selected at our discretion.

UPS drops packages at my door, but USPS does not deliver packages to my apartment building, so I would have to make sure to have them hold it at the post office or change the delivery address to ensure I get it the day it arrives.

Does anyone know which carrier SE will be using to ship KH3? If it matters, my invoice indicates that the shipping method I chose was "Super Saver (5 to 1

Hey all, does anyone know what's happening here?

When opening a published link on a mobile device, my fixed position element doesn't appear. I have a "bottom bar" and the expected behavior is that it is stickied to the bottom of the device, but the actual behavior is that it only shows up after I swipe all the way to the bottom and then swipe again. It almost seems like the behavior to bring up the keyboard or something.

To be clear, the fixed position element does display correctly when viewing it in the XD preview, but not when viewing it from the published link.

I wish I could just share the link, but unfortunately the design I'm working on is for an unreleased internal application.

Not sure if this is seasonal or what, but I'm starting to see a decent amount of price drops for rentals we've been keeping an eye on, which is something I don't think I've ever seen when I've been looking for rentals before. On top of that, seeing more "first month is waived" and "no application fees" and other kind of promotional offers.

Anyone know what that's about? Diablo closure starting to hit the economy? Is it just coincidence and I shouldn't hold my breath that this continues?

I feel like I actually have some small semblance of negotiating power recently...

I just remembered that my ballot wasn't counted in the 2016 election because my signature didn't match my records. I've always registered online, so the signature on file is from my driver license, which I signed when I was 15. My signature has changed significantly since then, so I get it, but is there a way to get this updated? Should I just re-register using a paper application? Will that cause issues being that my voter registration signature would not match my driver license signature?

Alternatively, would there be any potential ramifications if I "forged" 15-year-old-me's signature on my mail-in ballot?

A few weeks ago, we had a termite outburst in our pets' room. It looks like they must have swarmed from outside through this window (the frame is bent and the screen is old). We cannot keep the window closed, as the building doesn't have air conditioning and one of our rabbits has a severe heart murmur and cannot withstand temperatures above 80 degrees.

I had already notified the landlord in writing, but continued to get the

We're moving into our new place on the 1st and want to hire packers and movers this time instead of trying to do it ourselves, as we've learned the hard way that we're bad at it :)

Any recommendations for decently priced movers and packers?

I know Meathead Movers has Princess Packers, but I've been told that they're pretty expensive and can tend not to be the most careful with furniture.

Thanks!
