I've recently stumbled upon Joey Ballentine's Material-Map-Generator which does produce surprisingly good results. This is obviously geared more towards photo sourced textures and less towards scanned or procedural assets but i think it's a neat time-saver and the results are really solid especially in terms of tiling.
Now i know AI is a heated topic and rightfully so but there must be more use for it than just "create" images. So that's one of the reasons why i was looking into alternatives who can help us with the less exciting tasks, like creating maps, doing UVs or weight-painting etc. Something that doesn't need to use traini
FIXED, see end of post for the solution.
I've already asked this in archlinux but since it seems to be related to KDE i'll ask here as well.
Hey everyone i'm facing a brickwall that i can't tear down alone and i need your help as it gets annoying.
For a while now every link to a website from within a program opens a locally saved file in my browser (Firefox) instead of the real website. For example.

For a while now every link to a website from within a program opens a locally saved file in my browser (Firefox) instead of the real website. For example.
If i create a regular old text-document with a link inside to reddit (just as an example) and i open it with vscodium, kate or any other text editor, the moment i click the link it shows a desktop notification (kioexec) that it saved a local file to ~/.cache/kioexec/krun/<random_number>/random_name.
And subsequently opens that local file instead of the real address in Firefo
As the title indicates, i'm planning to upgrade my CPU and Mainboard and like to know if there is anything i should prepare beforehand to make the transition smooth, so that i don't have to reinstall Arch.
I'm switching the CPU from an i5-4690K to an i7-12700KF and the Mainboard from a Z97P Chipset to a B660M Chipset (Both Gigabyte). As you can see i stay on the same Vendor line for both CPU and Mainboard but it's quite a generation jump so i just want to make sure i'm not running into misery here.
If you need any more information please let me know.
Thanks in advance, have a good one. :)
Hey fellow Kerbonauts,
as the title suggest i have a small question about the tech-tree and mods. I'm using the Kiwi Tech Tree Overhaul with all its dependencies and i like it but i do also like the Modular Kolonization System which is not listed as supported by Kiwi. Both mods build up on the CTT and the CTT has built-in support for MKS.
Now my question is, will all parts

Hey folks,
i've hit a little roadblock and could really need your help to understand how or why. I try to set up a general Sky & Lighting system through blueprint.
Currently i'm trying to expose the Directional Light setting to use the Light as "Atmosphere / Fog Sun Light" (bUsedAsAtmosphereSunLight) as a adjustable variable. But all i can find is how i can read the value, but not how i can set it.
I hope my gibberish up there makes any sense to you!
The bigger picture behind my question is as follows. I have currently two Skydome Meshes (one regular sphere and one hemisphere) and a 'None' setting. When i choose the 'None' setting the system switches to a
Speech2Face: Learning the Face Behind a Voice // What can possibly go wrong?
groundai.com/project/speech2face-learning-the...Hey guys, i'm looking for a way to increase the "pursue distance" of enemies. Whenever i fight certain enemies (for instance a drowner or a ghoul) and do a roll away from them they loose their interest in me and walk away.
I've been digging through the monsterParams and monsterReactionParams script to find something but had no luck. I've tried to change "allowPursueDistance" in monsterParams to a much higher value, but nothing changed. I tried to tinker with "disallowOutsideOfGuardArea" and "actionCooldownDistance" inside the monsterReactionParams script but you guessed it, nothing.
Can anyone point me in the right direction or is there already a mod that does th
