About 48 hours ago, all posts I make have been autohidden by Reddit filters and any comments I make have 1 view perpetually.
Every single product segment from Asos to Mr Porter and Farfetch and between are now marketed with snow white pristine trousers.
The very trousers that wouldn't last in true slush conditions for more than 5 seconds without looking very offensive and dirty.
Sure, they can look classy if you just walk from your ski chalet to a bar and back and there's nothing but packed snow on the ground.
Everyone else is just going to assume you're a mental patient. The reality is most people have to wear dark trousers out of necessity unless there is zero chance of precipitation and slush.
Anyway, thanks for listening to my first world problem.
Whenever you google someone with substantial wealth, they're a complete social media ghost. You may find news articles of that person, or discussions about that person, but you can't network with them on any social media. Or are these platforms only for middle class workers?
Then there is of course billionaires but I'm not talking about them (they're nowhere to be found on Facebook or Linkedin either).
I recently moved away from NYC for my spouse since I can work remotely, to the kind of place where you are suspected of going to a weddíng or christening if you have a collared shirt and jeans on at the same time.
Needless to say, wearing casual linen blazers, nice boots (think Carmina or nicer), suits, overcoats if it gets chilly, makes people look at you like an alien invader.
It's not that I succumb to peer pressure but some of the reactions are just openly hostile even though 95% of people just mind their own business.
To make things easier (and not be threatened with assault in local nightlife etc) I pretty much relegated myself to sneakers and a decently fitting ocbd and jeans as
So I get it they want to appeal to venture capital by incorporating their own AI.
But when I try to have a discussion with Google's own AI, the browser injects the Arc ask icon right on top of the ask arrow so I'm unable to ask the Google one any followup questions.
Does nobody else find such forced site injections a bit slimy or am I bugged?
For anyone who has driven a car in both countries, have you ever noticed US drivers are by and far more likely to try to race you at the traffic lights?
It happens especially if you rented anything even remotely sportier. At least 20-30% of the basic hatchbacks, econoboxes etc. will try to race you.
In Europe (UK, France, Germany, Sweden) I barely if ever see such behavior. Then again, my European driving experience is +20 years and 4 years in the US.
Doesn't seem tied to age, ethnicity or any other factor either. It's simply US drivers in general being more likely to attempt to 'race' you. Has anyone else experienced this?
