So, my brothers and I have been listening to an album a day from this site:

https://1001albumsgenerator.com/

95% of the stuff is linked directly to apple music, which is great because that's my only music subscription service. And we are really all enjoying it, and getting forced to listen to things that are normally outside of our genres. And that's really cool and I'm enjoying it, but...

It's completely wrecking the "your station" algorithms. Like, on no planet do I want to listen to Garth Brooks and now he's getting played in there. Or the Rolling Stones, for that matter. Sure, they're great and influential but they certainly don't fit in with wha

HI NEIGHBORS!

This Saturday - benefit at the Ottawa Tavern for the gunshot victims from the Old West End festival this year. All door proceeds go to them - no other organization or person will benefit. There will also be some raffling fun, etc.... and 10 really, really good bands. Current lineup below - note that Detroit Party Marching Band is gonna be there for a set, which is incredible. They're still coming down from blowing peoples' brains out at the Electric Forest festival, so let's show them some more Toledo love.

If I'm being honest, even if it wasn't a benefit I want to support, and I was

Hi folks!

I have traditionally been a 1-guitar-at-a-time guy live. My current main is a MIJ Traditional 60s Jazzmaster, but some of the songs in my band benefit from the use of my SG instead.

SO here's the question - in a live setting onstage, swapping between the 2 can result in a significant volume difference. How do other guitarists handle that in a club / small venue situation without burdening the already-probably-over-it sound person? Is this a "warn them before, play both during sound check and move on" thing, or am I overthinking it?

hi! I have a new MIJ traditional 60s JM and I love everything about it except the bridge. I have a brand new Fender American Professional bridge on the way from a friend nearby for cheap.

Do I need to worry about the thimble sizes? I was pretty sure it's just a quick drop-in with no issues, but if I need to modify this thing I'd like to know ahead of time ESPECIALLY from someone that knows their stuff.

thank you in advance if anyone has any experience / input!

SO as the title says, we are the proud new owners of a slushie maker (brand redacted because i'm not a shill)....

Let's talk malort for a second. I and some of my friends were all about it as a gimmick for a bit, like everyone else that's not from Chicago. The problem, however, is that we uh kinda like it now. It's become a bit of a thing. So naturally, I think I want to go for a malort slushie for a party we're hosting in a month or so.

Now, there are constraints with slushies. First and foremost is that if your overall proof is too high, you won't get slushy. We don't want that. On the other hand, the proof being too LOW means it's not a drink we're going to want to be serving.

Every so often, someone posts a link to music they created in a response to a thread.... and I've bought a couple of albums because of that, followed some folks on bandcamp, etc.

I think we need a thread where we can share the music we make WITH the offset. Post your band links however you want (Linktree, Bandcamp, iTunes, spotify whatever). List what you used (full signal chain is a bonus!). Maybe even your geographic region and upcoming shows / booking availability too?

(I'll post my own in the comments at some point as well when I get more time today to get back to this thread idea :))

I ask because I'm about to sell one of my guitars that I don't use, and I plan to buy a JM of some sort afterwards.

Ignoring budget, right now my 3 top choices are:
Vintera III (olympic white)

Vintera II (road worn 50s)

JMascis Squier

All 3 will suit my needs really well, tho the JMJM is MAYBE a little lower on the food chain for the moment. I'm not completely sold on the sound of the pickups, and if I'm upgrading a guitar with a Mastery bridge (likely) I feel like I might as well start off with the higher end guitars.

I am also not in a huge hurry to buy, so if y'all think the pricing will start changing around it might be worth my wait for the road worn 50s to come down.

Hi!

So, I have an 8th gen (2009) EX-L V6 / Navi.... which just crossed 160K miles and I'd love to keep for a while longer before moving on. It's mostly in great shape, and the engine and transmission seem as good as the day I bought it.

That said, the AC stopped working at the end of last summer. Given that it was.... well, the end of summer, I said "next year's problem" and well here we are with it being next year.

Symptoms: It doesn't blow cold air. Ever.
Things I've checked and tried:

- All fuses and relays are good

- The compressor kicks on when I turn the AC on

- The pressure (on the low side) is at 50PSI

- The HVAC self-diagnostic test returned no errors

- The cabin filt

Was just hopping around the interwebs looking at used scooters and came across what seems like a WAY too good be true site - https://www.lancasterclassics.com/product_idl008.html -

SO, I dug around a bit, and it doesn't necessarily seem like it's DEFINITELY a scam, but.... it's probably a scam, right?

IF SO.... anyone have any USA based vintage dealers and restorers that they like, especially in the midwest?

Thanks in advance!!

My main guitar is a framus golden stratodeluxe, which is my absolute baby. But… it made me think about the fact that sometimes you need a contrast in tone. For that, I have an SG which I also love, but feels so completely opposite of the framus. It’s great for heavier stuff, obviously, but also it’s just a nice tonal shift that sometimes helps me find the right thing to play in different situations by hearing a part differently.

So what is your go-to opposite?
