This seems to have happened this morning. My understanding is that the Piggy Race and Immortal Tiers is supposed to conclude tomorrow afternoon. They do not reappear on app reload. Would love to know how to get back in as I was C14 in immortal tiers and #1 in piggy race right before this :(

Every main character is The Chosen One. In Berserk, Griffith is The Chosen One.

Every main character has famous and special parents who care about them a lot. Guts parents are completely anonymous, and dead. His adoptive father donovan'd him.

The classic deal-with-the-devil trope is that one must do the devil's bidding in exchange for power. In Berserk, The Idea of Evil tells Griffith, and the God Hand tells the Apostles, that they can do whatever the f*ck they want, because doing whatever they want is already their bidding.

Many stories - One Piece, Eragon, etc. have a huge wank session about how legendary the character's weapons are and how they had to be made by the best craftsmen wit

With the quarantine situation as it is I've been thinking about setting up a TV at the base of my bed. I was negligent with measurements while bedframe shopping so I have a 13.5 inch gap between the base of my bed and the wall, as moving the bed closer to the wall blocks the doorframe

Roughly 13.5 inches between the bedframe and the wall. Do note the wall outlet right next to the suitcase.

This presents a problem for setting up a TV as most TV bases are around 15.5 inches wide. Pushing the bed back a little more is suboptimal as I have a little table at the fro

Question in title.

It's been over half a year since I first read the trilogy and I still find myself coming back every couple weeks to read sections of the first and second books which I really enjoyed (Death's End was not as much my cup of tea). I wanted to buy a paper version instead of digging up a pdf in my downloads folder, but the only ones available (on Amazon at least) have overly gaudy cover art.

I saw some time ago there was new cover art depicting just a simple image of a three-body trajectory; anyone recall where that was, and maybe how I can buy one?

Thanks!

Hi all,

I've been working on a prediction problem with a fairly strong class imbalance using tree ensembles. I have no problems with too much or too little data, but I do read everywhere that addressing class imbalance improves predictive power.

However, most of the papers (including the [paper](https://jair.org/index.php/jair/article/view/10302) for SMOTE) evaluate their performance in terms of benefits to the Area under the ROC curve (AuROC). This is not the best or most informative metric to use as the AuROC metric is sensitive to class imbalance. See [this paper]([https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4349800/](https://ww

I would like to use a cosine similarity score as an explanatory variable for a regression I am running. Cosine similarity takes the dot product of two normalized vectors, and is mostly used as a distance measure in text mining; it ranges from 0 to 1, with scores near 0 meaning the two vectors are very different and scores near 1 meaning they are very similar. Since the score does not span the real line, it would be improper to put in the raw score as an explanatory variable, which implies the score could be any real number.

The distribution of similarity scores has a left skew, with many documents being very similar to each other and some being exactly the same. However, there is a sizable
