Whenever I take a shower or give my kids a bath, I get a very strong rotten egg odor that comes from the laundry room, which is on the other side of the house maybe 50 feet away. There's no smell coming from the actual bathroom. I don't know if it's relevant, but the tub drains quickly, however it does make a rythmic "slurping" sound every other second or 2.

I suspect this has something to do with the "vents" in the plumbing, but I don't know much about how that's supposed to work or what I can do to check besides calling a plumber. Is this something I can check for myself and/or possibly fix? I live in the Midwest so getting on the roof is not a possibility at this time of year.

Here's the general question, then I'll provide a little background:

If two abutting properties are under different jurisdictions, whose code applies for fencing at the property line?

I think the answer is probably, whoever's side the fence is on, but it's not a situation I've read about before.

I just moved into a new construction home. We are the last lot on a dead end, and our side yard abuts a small pasture that's owned by a neighboring landscaping company.

They are soon going to be erecting a fence (have placed flags pretty much directly on the line between property pins) between my property and theirs.

They also happen to be in a different township, I think.

In my town the code

Hello r/HomeNetworking! For a TL;DR please scroll to the bottom of the post and rip apart my plans.

We are building a new home which is nearly complete, and I had a contractor run CAT6 throughout the house - 25 in-wall RJ45 jacks, 2 ceiling jacks for WAPs, and 6 to the exterior, with male ends for PoE cameras. All of this is terminated centrally at a patch panel, along with telephone and coax cable, and a couple cables going to the utility box outside. It's a 48-port panel so there's room for more cameras or whatever in the future.

So, it's time to plan out and buy some gear to support all this. Right off the bat I'll say I'm leaning towards Ubiquiti/Unifi, but not speaking from experienc

Bring back Spike Rush!!!

Psyonix pls

Spike Rush came out of left field and was instantly my favorite game mode. The spike mechanic, while super simple, completely changes the strategies available and it's just so much fun. Insane ceiling shots become attainable for players of almost any rank. Faking becomes a core strategy. Freestyling is 1000x more effective. Offensive demos everywhere. Handoff passes.

The game is utterly transformed in Spike Rush and it's a very good thing. Come on Psyonix, there's gotta be a way. I want Spike Rush GC.

I know in previous versions of VS, the license provided downgrade rights, that is, the license and key could also be used on any prior version of Visual Studio than the one licensed.

Does that still apply for 2019? Does it make a difference if the license is via subscription?

IL, Cook County

I know this sounds like a ridiculous question but hear me out.

My son is 11 and is obsessed with the idea of buying super premium shoes. Yeezy's, which cost $500-1000+. I told him absolutely not, not even if he gets the money from his aunt's/grandma's/whatever. We had a long talk about why that kind of purchase would be foolish, especially for a kid. I tried to help him understand, but he doesn't really care.

Still he has his heart set on it. I kind of want to let him blow his money on these shoes so he can realize once he has the money that it's not worth it.

So I made him a deal. He will do chores for me this spring/summer (in addition to the chores he already does, bri
