I'm rigging my mouse for DMM and I can't help but notice that you can only map a tiny amount of keys directly to this thing. This isn't even done by mapping a single 8-bit value, because it can also do macros, mouse clicks, lang keys, and media keys. Why can't I pick the F13-F24 keys? Where's the compose key? Why limit the keyboard picker when the off-device keyboard picker is much more fully featured? I can't imagine this is a linux compatibility thing. Does the hardware not actually know how to spit out F24, and yet it can somehow store a macro? I'm simultaneously so curious to know how this thing works inside and yet annoyed that it won't do what I want.

I used to shop at Torrid. I'm a 5-tall, there. But Torrid carries about two shirts that are made of linen and they're blended exclusively with polyester. All conventional wisdom I can find is that linen or the proper weave of cotton will help deal with this awful heat that is sure to repeat next year, so I'm on the lookout for actual linen clothes. But where does one find these in a size I can actually use? Preferably a place that also doesn't cost eight morbillion dollars - I looked at the FAQ, but the plus size director now redirects to some other domain that seems mostly unrelated.

As part of my workflow I need to render out a set of vocal files. The files are set to either have background music or to not have background music. Normally, I have to render them all one way, then mute the background folder and render it all again. This gets a bit tedious and I was wondering if there's a way to set this up so I don't have to get two separate waiting periods. If I queue the render, then mute the folder and queue it again, will it remember which tracks were muted for that? Or is there some other way?

It's been a while since I had to fuss with my iCue, but recently my Scimitar needed replacement, so I had to redo the profiles on the new device. But when I was doing that, I couldn't find an old option that was really helpful to me - pointer speed. I would swear up and down that you can set this, because it's essential for me when switching between RTS and FPS games, especially some older games where pointer speed can be much faster or slower than expected. But it's missing, right? It's been patched out for some reason?

r/software•

I had a look around at stuff like RabbitMQ, but a complaint I read on that software was that it couldn't handle tons of messages at once. The request I have will involve a hundred humidity sensors attached to raspberry pis sending their status every second or two, so the use of something like AMQP or MQTT protocols seems helpful to keep bandwidth down. Can anyone either recommend some server software (preferably FOSS) that can handle that kind of throughput, or a different subreddit where the question could be more productively asked?

I'm using LTN, LTN Combinators and Krastorio2. So far Krastorio2 shouldn't influence the other two at all.

Problem #1: Sometimes, when I make a requesting station, it continues to infinitely request supplies even when the demand is met literally ten times over. I have tried:

  • Making sure the container is connected.
  • Resetting the train station.
  • Resetting the combinator and its requests. Usually unbuilding and rebuilding the entire stop will fix this, making me suspect that something about the blueprint is causing issues. This is the lesser of my two problems.

Problem #2, the doozy: "No train to transport items in depot." The issue is that there are trains, and the LTN manager even kno

r/Thunderbird•

I have about 9 different emails hooked up to thunderbird. I want a way to make sure I always email certain people from certain accounts - otherwise, I'm concerned that a contact may get an email from one of my other emails, which they wont' recognize. Is there any way to guide (or force) Thunderbird into doing this by including the correct email to send from in the address book somehow?

r/KoreanFood•

Hi, I'm pretty new to integrating korean recipes into my cooking and I've been looking a lot at various recipes, especially banchan. I have an immense craving for a bowl of rice and a bunch of side dishes, but due to the way my life fits together it's best if I can make things ahead on the weekend and I take them out of the fridge for dinners later. So, I need to know something important: What sort of dishes stay great after a few days in the fridge, and will be tasty next to some freshly made rice?

There's a hundred tons of writing on every single thing that entities like Shinobi used for weaponry and tricks during the Sengoku period and such. While such 'mostly dagger' forms of cloak-and-dagger were certainly useful, I have a different curiousity - what sorts of weapons might someone in a formal/royal court have hidden on them? What sorts of implements and weapons did spies or even simply nobles use? I'm especially interested in finding books to read on the subject, focusing on anywhere in southeast Asia: I have heard of things like sharpened fans but haven't actually seen any historical articles on them.

I'm missing the days of older DW20 modpacks, with Pam's and Forestry. I definitely want more food options than Sky Factory 4 had, and would prefer something with both a little magic and a little tech in it, though if push comes to shove, I'd prefer to lose the magic and keep the tech.

Any recommendations?

r/buildapc•

I'm in a bit of a weird situation where I really, really want a case with well-shielded audio on the front panel as well as a motherboard with A Lot of USB + Sata ports. I have like 4 hard drives and I'm always short on USB ports, and I'm very tired of hearing a high pitched whine whenever my graphics card does certain actions. Basically, what cases are actually worth it for cooling and quality connections, and are there any recommended motherboards for people who really more wanted a gateway from Uplink?

The build is relatively agnostic aside from that, I haven't actually decided on Intel vs Ryzen just yet. I've got a 1060 6GB for now and plan to upgrade that later.

r/tails•

I am running Windows 10.

I am trying to use the latest Tails image with a fresh install of VirtualBox. However, two issues present themselves when following the instructions for running from a VM.

  1. VirtualBox does not see the .img as being a valid disk image.

This can be solved, says google, by renaming it to an .iso: I am not sure if that is sufficient, but I gave it a try. If that is sufficient, I have a second problem:

  1. Despite following every step of that guide and triple-checking, and then renaming it to an ISO in desperation, I get the error "could not read from the boot medium" before Tails even gets a c

Hi there! I've been having a ball with single player tarkov, but after tweaking the loot something strange happened: On lighthouse and reserve, and only on those maps, there is no loot in containers of any kind. Tons of loose loot, happy with that, no loot in containers. I tried setting the Dynamic and Container loot values up to 4, back down to 1... I tried editing the maximum overall limit way up, way down, and back to standard. I tried completely reverting all settings to the default settings using the SPT-AKI preset built into the program. Nothing seems to be working. Does anyone know what might be causing this? It's only on these two maps.
