Am I just looking too soon for this? I need a place ideally for early August until Oct 9 with a bed and a desk and within commuting distance to Kendall Sq, but a lot of things on places like Furnished Finder haven't been updated in over a year, and current sublets elsewhere are for the summer only. Which makes sense given the rental cycle, but I'm almost thinking of going for June Homes (it can't be that bad, right?).

Any advice? Do I just wait it out?

Looking for a webcam to put on top of my single monitor. Doesn't need a mic. Doesn't need AI. Doesn't need tracking. I just need it to NOT make my face take up the whole video screen. I sit about 18" away from my monitor.

This is just to take meetings, not do content creation or anything else, and nobody needs to see my face that close up. Does anyone have suggestions? Would like to keep it under $100.

I'm trying to remember a weight loss or appetite suppressant from the late 90s/early 2000s. It was clear, didn't have an added flavor but tasted fine. It was a thick syrup consistency. You'd take like an ounce or a tbsp a day I think? We bought it from like a door to door salesman or a magazine, not in a store.

I've just moved into a new place and my bedroom is all white...I hate it. I also can't paint or put up any sort of wallpaper, or nails/screws. I can use command strips and hang things from the picture rail near the ceiling. I thought I could manage it and it would be fine if I put enough art and pretty curtains up, but I don't think I can. My vibe is dark, rich colors and textures, and I'm afraid Chantilly Lace will be the death of me!

Any suggestions on how to make the walls more bearable? I'm tempted to put peel and stick wallpaper on poster board and hope command strips will actually hold it on the wall.

Please don't suggest I just ignore my lease either - the landlady lives upstairs an

Hello,

I'm planning to get a tattoo of the key from the "Life in a Day" episode and want to also have a ribbon across it and the phrase "just a minor mending" on the ribbon. I was thinking of just a generic ribbon outline but then I started thinking about maybe a deep red one like in "All that Hard, Glossy Armor" because it's one of my favs and I love Margo. Except...I don't really like the color red. Can anyone think of another Margo reference I can work in there as a visual background for the phrase, or in another way? I'm also incorporating a peach and plum.

I'm moving into a new place and the landlord is very against any holes in the wall, including for curtains. There are blinds, but I both need darker curtains to block out light when I get migraines, and also I want them for the decor. Tension rods will not likely work for this.

Will something like this: https://kwikhang.com/ work? It says not ideal for crown molding, but I feel like it would be fine? Does anyone know why it wouldn't work? Also thinking of a curtain shim, but not super sure it would work and definitely not ideal for the decor.

Song discoveries

Discoveries

A bit of a lighthearted request, but when is my birb going to discover AC/DC? Or Coldplay? Billie (Birds of a Feather is right there!)? Florence + the Machine? Enya? I only ever see people post about their birbs discovering Baby Shark, Ed Sheeran, or Taylor Swift, and the only one of those I actually know is Baby Shark 😂

Tl;dr: if you take SNRIs (Wellbutrin, Effexor, Cymbalta, Pristiq) or ADHD meds, and they seem to worsen your fibro, consider it might be the norepinephrine basically maxing out your already faulty Central Nervous System.

I wanted to share an insight that's really helped me the last several months. I can give more background with my experience that led me to this realization if anyone is interested, but basically I realized at the end of last year that my SNRI was worsening my fibromyalgia. In fact, it was causing an extended flare building up from when I started in Dec 2021 and resulting in a total crash summer of 2023 (because of a different medication change) that I've only truly been abl

Product Question

Hello,

I'm visiting a friend (34) in a few weeks and want to get her a small gift ($25-30 range). She's about 6 months postpartum and still at home with kiddo. I'm looking for something that can be entirely frivolous but will make her feel nice and will also be easy to do while being a mom. I'm fine with it being something that gives short term results like a collagen plumper or something. What are peoples' recs for something like this?

My current ideas:
- under eye patches

- toner pads

- fancy lip balm

- spray face toner
