So unfortunately we can't set ship mottos in game, it would be really cool if we could though. That hasn't stopped me of course.

My daily driver, the USS Thunder Child (Mirror Strike Wing), has the wonderful motto of: Qui Tangit Frangitur (Who touches me is broken)

Or translated to modern parlance, FAFO. Shameless stolen from the HMS Repulse.

What are the mottos from your ships?

So recently I made a new character for the Temporal Recruit event, had great fun getting it to 65, then started putting together a build for it. That is when I hit the massive brick-wall that is starship traits.

Now actually leveling a ship is fairly easy, one-two patrols and it’s at five. Unfortunately that’s the quick part, and fun part because as always space combat is the best part of the game. The tedious part comes in actually setting up those ships, which you intend to discharge after you are done.

  • First you claim it, fine, easy, quick.
  • Then you need to move your gear over, not too bad.
  • Now you need to set up your BOFFs. Not terrible.
  • Now you need to set up your bars and at

Promotion and relegation will be disabled. Alliance League placement will not be affected by the results of this run.

That was posted on the official discord. Turned out to be wrong. My Alliance just got relegated back down to Expert because we all stopped caring about this run of it. Cheers for that Scopley

So I live in a small town, our post office was closed last year, leaving the nearest one a 30min drive away. I am a homebound disabled person that relies on packages containing medical supplies to be delivered.

Star Track, despite clearly being told repeatedly that they contain medical supplies, never even attempts to deliver them. They always end up at the Post Office, I get an email saying they are there. I arrange for someone to collect them, they claim they are not there.

This is not the first time. Currently I'm holding off redressing a wound because the materials I need to redo it are being held hostage by the post office claiming they aren't there. My brother-in-law wont push in

To the STFC Development Team,

I’m writing this as a long-time player—Ops 72, thousands spent over the years, deeply invested not just in the game, but in the community around it. This isn’t written lightly, but it is written clearly: I am stepping away from the game.

Not because I want to—but because, in its current state, the game has made that decision for me.

1. Ongoing Technical Failures

For over a month, core gameplay systems have been broken. Claiming recruits causes hangs. Ship repairs bug out. Hostiles disappear mid-combat. These are not fringe edge cases—these are fundamental gameplay loops.

A single day of instability at this level would be unacceptable. A month is indefen

Hi, So I'm back into STO after many many years and I'm completely lost.

I got my new character to 65, started unlocking things and got the Lexington and upgraded it to T6-X2 but I have basically none of the things that many guides that I've read tell me I need, and I have no idea where to start.

I can do advanced Patrols and missions (in space, ground still sucks) but it's very much bore people to death, I've managed to work out how the upgrade system works, and that's made things a little better, but honestly everyone points at sets and things that I just don't understand how to get.

I'm working on reputations to get stuff, but again a slow process.

So my question is, where do I *s

So I spent a few hours yesterday doing a Spend Calculator for the Vengeance and figured I'd share it here in case other found it useful for planning their SMS'.

Google Doc link (make a copy)

Just change the values in the 'sources' to get an idea of what will score, the milestones will turn green if you meet one.

It's also updatable when things get retired and added, just change the excelsior parts to whatever new thing they add next.

Hope people find it useful.

Hi, The APAC Arena Vengeance SMS is missing, I've asked a couple of people and it's not showing up for them either. Done a couple of matches and cleared and relogged, still no show.

Posting here for visibility.

Cheers.

People think Klingons are super tough and strong and drink blood wine and eat live food, so everyone assumes their coffee is the same, but what if it's less "Red Bull + Monster + Expresso" and more "Barely Coffee" Starbuck's Caramel Macchiato because Klingons are super sensitive to caffeine and everyone else drinks it cause it tastes nice.

Hi, I hope this finds everyone well, recently I saw a request for feedback on the game and it got me thinking of minor changes that would save people time and generally remove some of the busy work in the game. This is what I came up with.

Rationalize Timers

Most timers in the game are X22hrs, with X being between 0 and 14 days. This is fine. Unfortunately there are a bunch of outliers, such as the Elite Faction Recruits that are on 24 hour timers, or certain others on 20 hour timers. The 20 hour ones aren’t a problem, but the 24 hour ones are, this allows no leeway for claiming around the same time each day.

Please pick one timer and use it for all the ‘day’ long cooldowns.

So I was listening to a video on the Shannara series of books and how it's set in the far future of our world and it made me remember the Academy Series by Jack McDevitt fondly. Now it's not perfect, he dwells on the same themes too much (how many times was the space program shut down and restored?) and the less said about the last book in the original series the better, but still an amazing series of books.

However it got me thinking about other stories set in the far future, possibly after a disaster, where people are recovering and uncovering their own history and if anyone has some good recommendations?

So I'm worried I'm the jerk here. Back story first I'm 45 male, bisexual, and my niece is 14, she recently brought a friend around to my place for help with their homework and I was introduced to them as "X, their pronouns are It"...

Now I like to think of myself as a fairly casual "if it's not hurting someone, do what you will" person. I've experienced bigotry myself and refuse to inflict it on other people...

But I had a really really hard time using such a dehumanizing descriptor for another person. I defaulted to "they/them" for the entire conversation and my niece called me on the subject the next day, and how their friend was trying to 'reclaim' the pronoun...

Which I get, but I s

I've got a prescription for nicotine and I can make the bottle last a long while, but what's killing me is how expensive the pods for my device are. $30 for 2. They don't last long at all either before becoming hard to draw.

I know next to nothing about anything to do with vaping, it's all jargon to me, people say things like coils and such and I have no idea what they are going on about.

I'm open to making a bigger one time purchase if it will save me money on pods.

Greetings my Siblings-in-Spock! I'm Sunstalker and I play on APAC202 and for a few months I've been writing guides for people in my Alliance (Cheers my TXC brethren!) and with the upcoming Alliance Tournaments they've encouraged me to share the one I wrote for doing 10k tasks F2P.

It's a little wordy and took a couple of days to write, I was trying to be as comprehensive as I could while keeping the word count down.

10k Tasks and You! A F2P Guide

If you're interested in my other guides they can be found at [Gibberish by Sunstalker](https://docs.google.com/docu
