Context: I have a 2012 2.0tsi, recently tuned and almost at 200,000 k’s, very well maintained engine, I live in Qatar where you don’t get many nice backroads, traveling to Jordan where there are some nice twisties.

Problem is I’d have to drive across Saudi, which would be a hassle considering some highways aren’t very well maintained.

Would it be worth to drive my car there?

For those wondering: I’m still on the OEM 5 spoke alloys (18”, 235mm) on stock ride height, wondering if the suspension’s gonna take a beating on these roads.

Color is viper green and I have taken great care of the engine, updated parts have been installed (n80 valve, intake manifold), walnut blasting has been done to intake valves.

The car has a downpipe and a resonator delete but has passed fahes recently with the exhaust modifications installed.

Car is ready to be tuned, fueling and ignition work like new and APR ignition coils and iridium spark plugs (NGK BK8EIR) have been installed alongside a new engine wiring loom.

All work done at sigma performance since 2024.

Looking to get an APR tune for my 2012 scirocco 2.0tsi (stage 1), I have APR ignition coils and I have no bolt-ons so far, might get a downpipe but that’s as far as my mods will be till I can save for a proper build. The local dealer for the tunes says I only need to pay the difference if I’d like to bump up another stage or 2.
