We went shopping and took the 3 month old. Busy day, hubby went to the dressing room to try some things on. I found a tiny wooden bench and nursed awkwardly until LO popped. Went to the ladies room, changed him and he burped… bonus. Went to find hubby waited outside the dressing rooms for a bit. Baby starts getting restless. Wants to finish his snack.

I ask the lady if there was place I could sit down to nurse.

She told me there was a bench OUTSIDE the store. It was 46 f out there with snow melting and it was by the parking lot.

My look of disgust/disbelief must have shown on my face and I told her “You mean outside in the cold?” She apologized about 4 times. I went back to awkward benc

General Health

Hi ladies!

This is a very new finding and low quality human evidence but I thought you might be interested to know, that they may have found an anti malarial drug to help us! I’m having trouble with the link on my phone so here ya go!

https://www.the-scientist.com/an-anti-malarial-drug-could-ameliorate-pcos-symptoms-72754?utm_content=327008912&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&hss_channel=fbp-212009668822281&fbclid=IwY2xjawJEDsVleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHbOoHHsJ2aqrYBWtEL6DB5PJe7yQMe8OK4TDGXKQZTpTq-wjEyyKGLR8Jw_aem_dWphgegW2VrNGvKrltDjoQ

If anyone actually understands everything they were saying about the brown fat experiments on the mice, please dumb it down for me 😝

Guys! All this training came in handy! My son’s best friend’s parents were in a holding pattern naming their daughter.

I was able to talk them out of it by asking questions like well if dad has vetoed all the names you have come up with - what are his suggestions?

Then we had them over for dinner. I waxed eloquent about why I liked some names and spouted off a list (all names y’all have seen me suggest)

Then a month or two later they announced the baby and she was named 2 derivatives of names I had suggested!

I talked to the mom at pickup a few weeks ago and was like hey those names were similar to what I suggested and she literally said “Yes you were very helpful in naming our daughte

:game:Fun and Games

After discussing what names we chose and what names we were considering for him last night - I asked if there were any other names he would have liked more. Spider. He wishes we had named him Spider.

Did anyone else have their kid wish they hadn’t spent so many hours agonizing over the choice of their name for uh also creative preferences??? 😄

I’ll start.

Yellow baby shark hat. To be worn when nursing to sleep. Not for putting on when we brush teeth or other preparations. Occasionally to be worn outside if it is below 40f

Today, my 14 month-old dunked an entire roll of toilet paper in it and then threw it on the floor! Oh and let’s not forget throwing big brothers pajamas in there!

What fun have you had with the potty lately?

This might be a dumb question but I was wondering because I turn 40 next week and I already got a notice that I need a mammogram but I’m still breastfeeding my 11 month old…

My older sister has a laundry list of stuff wrong with her. She applied twice (I think to SSDI) and was denied. Now she got a lawyer and agreed to a hearing. Unfortunately the lawyer is estimating it won’t be until fall of next year.

Between my two other sisters, my dad and step mom we have managed to keep her afloat for a few years but my dad and step mom are retiring in August. My older sister is going back to school for her bachelors and my little sister just got married. I’ve got two kids- my hubs and I have good jobs but with the cost of daycare and a mortgage; We can’t keep paying her rent and bills for an entire year.

She has a government health plan and she gets food stamps.

Ladies, I’m barely hanging in there. Baby 2 is almost 9 months old. I’m so over feeding all night long to make up for him not nursing a ton during the day. When I try to feed him during the day he just wants to look around and play with our preschooler. Even when he is hungry.

My first i breastfed for 2.25 years and weaned 13 weeks pregnant with this one. I haven’t slept through the night consistently since I was pregnant with my first- 4 years ago now. I’m going to lose my mind.

I had an idea that I could take 1/2 a melatonin gummy while I Nursing him to sleep and get hubs to watch us and maybe it would knock us both out long enough for me to get 4 -6 hours of sleep straight… Good id

My husband has been into fire for a while. He presented it to me a couple years ago and I thought it was a great idea but had no idea what a big movement it was.

It seems to me like he mostly read about it enough to get the ball rolling and has been aggressively saving for about 5-6 years. I was trying to ask at what point we hit coast FIRE but I didn’t have the words to explain. I started educating myself on all this a few months ago. Told him that phrase and last night he woke me up at 1-2 am to show me a coast fire calculator

Guys! Depending on withdrawal rate and age of retirement we are either there or we will be there next year!!!! So excited!

To me that means that every year we m

Help Meaning & origin of Chenetta

:Europe-Africa: Non-English Names

Hi Nerds!

I know someone whose name is Chenetta. Her mother said it was French for an oak tree based on a baby book she was using. I asked a friend who is French and she said that is not French for an oak tree… Google translate says chéne is an oak tree.

Does anybody know the truth?

Hi!! I have a nephew with muscular dystrophy. He has been given his first wheel chair this year. I was thinking about Christmas gifts…

He can still move his hands but his fingers are all curled in already.

Do any of you know of a headlamp that could be turned on and off with bopping it with the back of your hand? I feel like 12 year old me would have liked a headlamp or walkie-talkies.

Kid 3 yo m. Sick since Friday of last week. Went to the pedi Monday eh doesn’t seem too sick, let’s still give flu vaccine….

Keep him home the next day, runny nose cough still playing. Slowly progressing during the week not too worried. Fever Saturday morning. Got him in to see pedi again - flu a and strep both positive 😏

On Abx and doing a little better. But spiked a fever of 102 periodically. Clearly no trick or treating for us tonight….

Cue the idea 💡

I set up stations with his stuffed animals and we are going to have him trick or treat from them!!!

Toad and caterpillars are in the guest closet, Dino’s are on the lower bunk, sea creatures on the upper bunk, cats in the cupboard he
