As title, picked up this book on y'all's hundreds of recommendations. The switching between the two timelines is not really my thing. And most of the story is Shevek going between one assignment and desolate town with free cafeterias to another. I've been trying to make myself read this book for the last three months and it's slow going. Does it get better?

I've never been to a train station in the world that didn't have a board showing from which track trains depart. The only board that exists is one prior to security check that shows you on which day of the week the trains depart

, which is basically useless information. Props to the security guards at track nr 1 who seem to understand their role is to not be security guards, but rather informing passengers from which track their train departs.

I'm trying to figure out how to space out the light wind kite spread. I have Duotone Evo 6, 8, 10 (the six is mostly for landboarding) with size S clickbar. I also have a 137 TT board.

When I fly, I usually rent. However, hometurf is split between coastal waters of baltic sea and occasional inland lakes around Germany/Poland. Also, I bring my gear Lake Garda/Lake Idro where I found that larger kites are better (i had to rent 15m2 Core kite on lake idro several times).

So now, I'm trying to figure out the right size/type selection and would like to stick to either EVO or Juice. I have access to various used sized. Some combos I'm considering

As per title. The few times I'm able to even out my tempo, or feel like i'm taking 6/8th of a swing, and just tap it, the ball goes further, straighter and I actually start enjoying myself. Unfortunately this paradise is very fleeting and I end up somehow slowing tensing up to the point where I'm trying to punish the ball like it killed my family.

I already have a 6, 8, 10 and two evos and one neo. Looking to get some bigger kites (12 and 14) and I'm looking at both options. Which one would you chose?

I'm a long time Somerville resident but now live in Europe. I'm watching this subreddit drama and I don't know whom to believe. On one hand there is a person making posts about tent city in middle of Davis, with stabbings and stolen scooters. On the other hand there are people saying everything is fine in Davis and mother's and their children feel safe. There are also now memes.

There was another post yesterday about someone receiving their invitation in Berlin and getting their citizenship in 4 months. I submitted application in Berlin on May 19, and just today (ironic as today is 4th of July - US independence day) got invitation for Einburgerung on August 7th.

July 4th - received invitation
August 7th - naturalization.

I have both Polish and American (naturalized) citizenships.
