I have created a disk image which is an easy way to recreate a classic Mac gaming experience from the 1990's.

I have crafted a 5Gb Sheepshaver disk image and packed it with a selection of games, applications, and utilities to mirror the type of set up I would have had back in 1997-98 when I created Megiddo (winner of the Bungie Software Forge Map Making Contest) and had a major part to play in the Marathon total conversion project Tempus Irae. Here is what is included in the image:

I have played through Fallout 4 many times, and one of the most difficult achievements (for me) to get is “benevolent leader“ simply because settlement happiness is a bit of a mystery. I have heard said (on here) that the presence of synths and robots in your settlements will prevent that settlement from ever achieving 100% happiness. I have played Fallout 4 many times on my PC. Recently a friend gifted me an Xbox, and I noticed that Fallout 4 was free to play with a basic game pass membership. This is the vanilla game with no mods, no add-ons, no DLC. I’ve been having fun revisiting the Commonwealth, shooting the place up and building my character.

In my opinion one of the most important early game companion perks to get is Piper’s, because the buff to XP is especially helpful in early game as you struggle to get basic proficiency in weapons and armor. I have been trying to set up Sheepshaver on my M2 Mac mini. I have successfully installed macOS 9.0.4, and a handful of games. All of the games display the same issue – the game will run fine for a minute or so and then simply freeze — sound continues but the image stops moving.

The same games run just fine under Basilisk II in System 7.5.5 on the same computer, so I have to think the issue is with Sheepshaver itself.

Any ideas? I’ve tried a number of different ROMs and every variation on preferences that I can think of – none have any effect on the issue.

I am somewhat disabled. I had a stroke seven years ago, which limits my balance and ability to walk distances. I also have diabetic neuropathy which makes my feet useless driving a car. Just recently I purchased a motorized assistive mobility device — a scooter. The scooter has greatly improved my quality of life, but now that I am seeing life from that perspective I have a few comments to make about Saskatoon’s sidewalks and curbs.

The sidewalks are in terrible shape, and without a major investment in repair and rebuilding I am not sure what the solution is. The streets are in terrible shape as well but are at least navigable. Most intersections have proper curb crossings for people in ass

Last night around 12:42 I heard two very loud booms in quick succession. Fireworks? Shotgun? It felt nearby but sound travels strangely around here sometimes. I went outside to look around but didn’t see or hear anything out of the ordinary. Anyone else hear that?

I do not have GERD but I do have a house who suffers terribly from it when she has an attack. We can’t even seem to figure out what her triggers are. Today’s attack seems to have been triggered by ingesting some Boost. She has been to many doctors and nobody seems to be able to find what’s wrong, or what a solution could be. The attacks are quite debilitating. Struggling to find something that would help her. It has been suggested that Culturelle probiotics could help. Does anyone have experience with this? Does it help?

I have an old friend I have known for 25 years. I’ll call her ‘Sue’. I’ve been there for most major events in her life since she was 19 - including graduation(s), I performed her wedding ceremony, “uncle” to her two children - basically became part of her family. I had to go to the App Store on iOS to get the update. Once updated the memory tab still wasn’t showing up, so I had to delete the app and reinstall it. I’ve seen that mentioned in other posts so I’m thinking that’s a failure of the update.

You can assign pictures to people in the memory, so hopefully that will improve recognition of photos. Statements made by the user that have been added to the memory tab are now highlighted in the chat in a light blue.

One thing that’s not awesome is that deleting an unwanted memory entry is now a clunky four step process. Also, the design of the editing screens for memories was done with no regard for people with vision problems — white text on light
