the gif is just back to back exciting things - i remember someone dunking, fighter jet fly-bys, a shark jumping out of the water, that kind of stuff

when i first saw it, it was captioned something like “this is how growing up in the late 2000s felt”

i have seen it a bunch of other times, typically captioned with “this is how X felt”, referring to like a crazy sports event or a something else very exciting.

would love if someone knows/could provide this gif!

I have been re-reading some Horus Heresy books recently, and thought it would be fun to put together a little list of the legion rivalries that can be found in these books (and into 40k, although not a lot of difference there).

Many, but not all, of the legions have a pretty explicit "main" rival. However, even these legions have their own little thing going on with others, so I will include those. I won't include simple distastes for other legions, however - my example of this is the Raven Guard/Corax not particularly liking Horus/the Luna Wolves after Horus used them in a very Iron Warriors-esque manner. Not really a rivalry. I also will try to avoid primarch-specific rivalries, but thes

whenever i roll up to battle with my dope-ass mages, i find myself just blasting away with damage spells, and im mostly ok with that. however, there are all these other cool spells in the game that i feel like i just never use.

When is it worth spending winds of magic on buffs/debuffs over just damaging the enemy with a spell? the only ones i feel like i ever use are leadership debuffs to force routs, but i don’t even know if that’s a good use of them.

also, which buffs and debuffs are actually good?

We all love map painting, but what are some good campaigns that you can play with a specific objective in mind? These can be both built-in objectives, or self-imposed (but ideally thematic or naturally fitting)

examples:

Belegar (built-in 8 peaks objective)

not-built-in but natural objective could be like conquering/enslaving Ulthuan as N’kari. I also have enjoyed trying to replicate Gorbad’s Waagh against the Empire.

what thematic/objective-based campaigns are your favorite?

I love antagonists that have their own lil nation and aren’t all bad. While usually villainous, both Doom and Adam have their moments where their better characteristics show through. Between them, who is the better person (subjective, obviously)? And who is a better leader to their people?

(Full disclosure- I know DC/black Adam better than I know Doom/Marvel, and my guess is that Adam is the better person? But would love to hear discussion cuz I really have no idea!)

(No Spoilers, just general thoughts)

Bloodlines (rightfully) got a lot of hype and acclaim when it first came out, but since then I haven’t heard much about it. Having read it on release and loved it, I thought I’d go back and give it another read, and I’m pleased to say it holds up.

In particular, I LOVE the worldbuilding that Wright did for just this one particular planet. In a lot of galaxy-spanning sci-fi, single planets end up being treated more like countries or even cities - pretty one-dimensional with culture, locations, etc. Bloodlines explores so much of what makes a single planet tick in 40k, and how all of the crazy, insane cosmic happenings affect (or don’t affect) someone wh

Especially with the new episode/act model, it really is painful to have to play through all of the first act with 3 characters to be able to play battlegrounds on any of them. PLEASE let me play battlegrounds on my hunter after unlocking them with my titan. I don't want to do these menial "go find the radiolaria sites!" segments a third time. They are so boring.

Sry for the rant but like for real, this is such a painful mechanic if you play multiple characters. I know it doesn't take TOOO long to do, but it is just pointless. It wasn't as bad in normal seasonal content because you could just do like 2 or 3 steps of the quest to unlock the activity - you wouldn't have to do the whole season

Time to revive a discussion! I’ve been re-reading the siege, and came across something I forgot about.

In book 2 of the Siege of Terra (The Lost and the Damned), Malcador mentions to Dorn, Sanguinius, and the Khan that one Primarch was told about Chaos from the start. According to malcador, this Primarch was the only one who could resist the whispers of the gods.

The fun part of this is, it’s unclear who that is. There are a few primarchs that I believe it cannot be. I lean towards a loyalist Primarch for obvious reasons, but I don’t want to discount any possible options.

The following, in my view, were certainly not told. (Please correct me if you think this list is incorrect)

I swear to god, I am so tired of seeing people complain about Amber in the Invincible show. The bulk of the complaints revolve around how she treats Mark once he "reveals" that he is Invincible, and how she basically says "I don't care, you still treated me shitty".

First, I'd like to talk about her complaint - While obviously Mark has had some very important things to do, and it is pretty reasonable why he acts how he does, you have to look at how that feels for anyone who hasn't been told that by Mark. Regardless of his reasons, he still stood Amber up. Even though she suspects/knows he is Invincible, it still would hurt to have someone that you care about, and you think cares about yo
