We've been through Delian tomb with my players, and it was a success. Now I want yo go with some homebrew setting  starting a new campaign. One of my players would really like to keep his character which is now level 3.

The other players will start at level 1.

I was thinking about ways to balance his level 3 character with the level 1 character.

The level 3 character will have 2 less recovery (du to old age).

Also, I was thinking of starting the level 1 character with 2 victories after each respite. That way they'll have more experience with each respite and start with more heroic points each combat.

The level 3 character will have less chance of using is more powerful ability.

Cubicle 7 released the new edition of Victoriana. If anyone read it I'd like to have an in depth discussion about it.

It’s a roll over DC between 4-8 (it depends on the stats of the character) There are 2 dices, 1d12 faith dice and a competence dice (1d6,1d8,1d10 or 1d12) depending on the training of the character. If you don’t have proficiency in a skill, you only roll the faith dice. If you roll over with the faith die, it’s a success at a cost. If you get a 1 you get -1 success on the competence dice. If you roll a 12 it gives you a normal success. If you roll over with the competence dice, you get a success, if you roll over +3 it counts as 2 successes if you roll over +5 it counts as 3 successes. (those DCs will be written on the character sheet). If you roll equal to the DC it’s a failure but so

I'm looking for rules and ideas for a game I'd like to do for a long time.

I'd like to play a middle-earth game starting around the fall of Armor and up to the war of the ring so roughly 1000 years.

I'll play 4-5 session per "adventure" and skip 100 years, 4-5 sessions an other 100 years. So roughly 10 adventures for the whole campaign.

If players play elf they can keep the same character for the whole campaign. If dwarf a few adventures, hobbits 1 or 2, etc.

What I'm wondering if is there games that have rulesets for building long lasting legacy like that. I want the actions of the first adventure to have repercussions maybe not on the 10th adventure but for like 1 or 2 that follows

Dual persona game

Game Suggestion

I'm wondering if there's any ttrpg where a player plays some combination of characters. What I mean by that is maybe the character is a combination of a sentient weapon and a human or a spirit possessing a body.

I'm planning to make a homebrew rule and would like to see what you think about it.

1- Change in Max HP: 1/2 or 1/3 2-When you get to 0 HP you don't fall unconscious but instead get a new condition. Heroic surge level

3-Condition. Heroic surge level: You regain all your HP and also get a +2 to attack, skill and save check. These level are cumulative. At the end of the encounter all your heroic surge levels become exhaustion level.

4- up casting cure wound to level 3 don't restore HP but remove a level of exhaustion 5- no more hit dice 6- short rest restore all HP

Maybe

7- short rest restore 1 level of exhaustion

Basically the only way to die become level 6 exhaustion and never i

I'd like to your comments on my changes to Waterdeep: Dragon heist. My campaign will start quite similarly as RAW in the module except as explained here.

The Yawning Portal First of all, in my campaign, Volo is a common friend of the PCs. He managed to get tickets for a show held at the Yawning Portal. The Inn is more than just a inn. Obviously, it’s the gateway to undermountain, but also more like a cabaret where music shows are held, while you also eat and drink.

When the PCs show up read or paraphrase. It’s a cold and rainy evening in the City of Splendor. As you get near the popular Inn/tavern/cabaret, you spot a long waiting line. Walking on the other side of Rainrun Street, you fina

I'm toying with the idea that my PC elf is the reincarnation of Patrina. Do you think it's a good idea ? Do you see Stradh acting differently towards her?

I was thinking maybe when he saw her at the funeral he could say something under his breath " Alright vampyr you're testing me big time now"

One of my PC as the observant feat so he can read lips.

It could be a way to introduce the idea of something greater than Stradh
