So I opened a robinhood account back in Feb 2021 to get the free stock they were giving away, cause why not? But outside of that free stock and transferring in a $1 that same day, I have not logged into the account. Fast forward to this week monday when I decided to check it out again. I updated my home address, added security questions, and verified some info. The goal was to secure the account since I planned on transferring a few $100 in just to play with (luckily I haven't yet). I did have to open a support to get my address updated because they wouldn't take it through the app.

It is now one day later and I just got a text message that claims to be Robinhood that someone is attempting

Looking to replace the laces on my slippers since the ends are worn out from stepping on them as they came loose. Anywhere I can get similar or better quality laces? I like tanned brown they come with.

Let me start with if I could buy another MX 3 I would, but that's not an option. I bought my mx master 3 back in 2020 and it's starting to feel like it's time to replace it since the rubber is breaking down (yes I've read the why). So I was considering getting the MX Maser 4 but it seems like it's not really well received when coming from the older model. So I'm on the hunt for a new mouse. What's a good replacement for it?

  • Must work on both MacOS (work laptop) and Windows 10 (home computer).

  • If it has supporting software like logitech options+, that's fine. It doesn't take up any resources on my systems in any meaningful way.

  • Price is not a factor in the slightest. It's being exp

So I got everything handled on all the 3 inner planets and Nauvis in terms of I can flip research to anything, sit back, and let the platforms deliver the various sciences to my labs at roughly 50 science per minute with chemical, production, and utility sciences as my bottle neck. Can I research 32k technologies? Sure, it just takes a long time due to bottle necks with obvious the short term solution is add more assemblers to my bus off shoots/make more branches off the bus.

But I have this huge map to fill and each time tha

Completed Vanilla 2.0 and still doing my first SA play through from last year.

So I've basically got all my sciences automated for Nauvis and the 3 inner planets. I'm not yet ready to go to Aquillo so I figure let me go back to Nauvis and increase the outputs of chemical, Production, and Utility sciences since those are my biggest bottle necks at the moment in my main bus setup. I recognize the best move would be to find a different part of the map and setup a factory/sub-factory dedicated to each of those sciences (what I'm leaning towards) or City blocks (my ocd likes the idea but seems better for a different play through).

The problem is I'm getting hung up on details. I see this giant

TL;DR, the trains actually have to stop for interrupts to trigger. Having the train enter and exit a station doesn't allow the interrupt mechanism to kick in.

So I've been struggling with my train refuel interrupt (I only have the one). for some reason every once in a while I would get a train out of fuel alert. Which was weird since I have my interrupt set to trigger if coal is less than 50 and trains can hold 150. So plenty of coal for it to get to the refill station before it runs out right? Well it kept running out.

Now I've always read the interrupts are evaluated after it finishes it time at the current station. Meaning the interrupt doesn't get evaluated in say the middle of a trip

Can group_vars live inside a role?

playbooks, roles and collections

Let me first start off by saying we don't use group_vars with the exception of inventory/group_vars/all. I have a role that is installing an agent. This agent requires a token and depending on the group the server falls into, it will get one of 10 different tokens. The inventory is using the dynamic inventory aws plugin, so nothing static.

In my inventory directory I have group_vars/group_name.yml for the different groups. There are 10 of them. Inside the group_name*.yml, there is a key/value pair which holds the token. Each file has the same key but different value.

agent_token: blah blah blah.

When group_vars is located in inventory/group_vars/group_name.yml, I get the values I'

As a devops engineer, it causes so many headaches for my team when developers use it to troubleshoot infrastructure they know nothing about. So many times an issue happens and I have a dev running to me saying "Amazon Q says you should do this" and they believe it because Amazon said. And guess what? It's WRONG! Every single damn time. It drives me up a wall that people trust this AI to give them the answer instead of just letting us investigate.

Amazon Q has no insight into anything that it can provide legit troubleshooting to people who know nothing about how everything is put together. It constantly steers people in the wrong direction because he has no idea what we have going on.

So I have the Cap One Savor. I was buying my GF jewlery and of all the cards to have a promotion with Kay Jewlers, it was the Savor card with 2% back through capital one (amex, WF, chase prime did not have any) which would normally it would be 1%. While moving between various pages and products, I forgot I was on the cap one referral link and ended up charging it to my fidelity card since 2% is 2%. Why give it to Cap One when I can invest that 2%?

Well the 2% is showing up on my Fidelity and Cap one just sent me an email saying they are going to give me the 2% back for the purchase and will show up after like 2 months (standard).

I was always under the impression that when you use the cap
