In the intro to the video, the YouTuber uses the new Blade runner to demonstrate the color banding. The video also shows graphs of different streaming and physical media bitrates including the bitrate of versions intended for theaters such as the theatrical Imax copy sent to theaters.

I'm not a faculty member, but I work alongside thirty something faculty members in a support role at an r1 university.

Faculty moral and participation has been a real issue for us. I just helped set up the faculty meeting and while atleast 8 or so people were connected remotely, only 2 people showed up in person by the time the department chair started. I did see one more on his way up as I was leaving but this problem just keeps getting worse. I've been here approaching 6 years now and never seen that few people for a faculty meeting except during covid. I have no clue what participation was like before covid though since I was hired on right when it all shut down.

The people on hiring c

This might come out as an incoherent rambling, but hopefully you all get it.

I keep seeing these pop-up on the front page of my reddit feed every so often and I'm always shocked by how much people agree that you can't open up to a woman in a relationship without them using it against you later or losing all attraction. They won't accept that it's not a universal truth even if they have had that experience. I just find the whole thing so incredibly frustrating.

The same men will blame a woman if she keeps getting together with assholes but then turn right around and still blame the woman when they keep dating assholes and not even realize they're not holding themselves up to their own sta

Returning player after a really long time.

I can fly any subcap any build except for the new precursor ones, and the new emercom ones as those skills didn't exist last time I played.

Can anyone give me builds for clearing gas sites, relic sites, c3/4/5 combat sites, anything wormhole pve related? I know I used to run c4/c5 sites in a paladin but I don't remember anything more than that now.

I was planning to go to a concert in deep Ellum this week, but I heard they're closing the roads in deep Ellum after 10, can I get in to park, can I get out late at night like 1-2am? What changes have actually been made already?

Looking to spend twelve hundred to eighteen hundred on a single daily driver guitar after five years learning on cheaper five hundred dollar guitars. Not sure if I should be looking at six or seven strings. I like the idea of having a single guitar for everything. I don't like my current cheaper seven string all that much (quality control issues), but I've played around with trying to use it for six string songs and most of the time it's no problem, but it does introduce some small issues from time to time requiring more precision on the sixth string instead of having the freedom to not be required to be as precise since there is no seventh string that needs to be muted or avoided to prevent

I'm looking to play stuff like Witch, Monolord, Stoned Jesus, Mars Red Sky, Kadavar, Samsara Blues Expirement and stuff like that. Strongly prefer top jack pedals, but not required. Huge points for a fuzz that is more versatile. But if it's just really good at the one stoner/doom thing (hopefully including good lead tone for solo's on stoner tracks) then that's fine too.

It's a bit of a do it all pedalboard so some of these pedals don't go with doom but the plan is for the layout to be what I have below. Between these pedals and the amps built in overdrive channel, I think I should be able to cover pretty much everything I want to play or at the very least get me pretty damn close. It's pr

The goal is to use a PD powerbank with a PD trigger board to negotiate 20v output, use a step-down converter to bring it to 19v for the amp (probably unnecessary, but it's what the amps rated for) and another one to bring it down to 9v for the pedals. The amp is a spark 40. I just want a tuning pedal, a digitech drop, and a drive / gain pedal of my choice on top of the amp.

So it goes powerbank > PD trigger board > splits into 2 step down converters to bring it to device specific voltage > into device

Never powered pedals or an amp by battery but I hear it's pretty good when done separately but I'm concerned about trying to do it all together in one power output from the powerbank (so I c

Running into a weird issue. I have a USB-C pd trigger board linked below, along with the powerbank linked below. trigger board is set to 12v, powerbank does support 12v, but it only triggers instantly when it's connected to a multimeter through USB-C. It does not trigger the QC charging over USB-A regardless of the multimeter or not, though it randomly did once. I'm using this with a miniature model paint shaker (12v 1-1.5A) and if I engage the paint shaker while plugging in it negotiates 12v, but plugging in normally it does not. When using a multimeter to measure a second PD trigger board it enables 12v instantly, but without the multimeter it doesn't, even if a resistor or capacitor is br

I've been learning fusion 360 for designing 3d prints and there's many times where a certain part or whole designs make more sense to make out of wood. What kind of tools would be my best options for making straight cuts in an apartment? Noise is a concern, but it doesn't need to be silent by any means, I only have a downstairs neighbor and one shared wall in my apartment that is away from where I would be working and I don't plan on doing projects very often, a few times a year tops. Primarily, I would only be needing to make straight cuts with most of my designs and I'd be mostly using wood that isn't too thick, maybe one inch tops. Most of my designs would be fairly limited in size, smal

Honestly just looking for my other half, I'd love to find someone who I could eventually build a life with if things go well. I work in IT, live alone, and have two super sweet kitties named Juni and Boba. I'm also a leftist and bisexual (with a preference toward women), but politics has gotten so exhausting I prefer to talk about other things honestly, but I think it's important to mention because I think it really is a big part of whether I'd be compatible with someone or not.

I do tend to be a bit of a homebody when left to my own devices, usually practicing guitar, working on a project of some sort (electronics, 3d printing, etc), cooking/baking or playing PC games with my buddies. The
