reddit.comI am one who is easily distracted and I’m just a hobby player who plays live maybe 15 times a year. I have a terrible habit of noodling the same stuff and playing along to familiar songs. Since I started logging my practice/playing I have this internal peer pressure to learn something new or work on some sort of theory application for the sole purpose of not writing down that I just noodled around for 30-45 minutes just for fun. It’s really nice to see consistent progress and to continue to have more options playing across the whole neck. Highly recommend if you have bad habits like me!
I’ve been rocking an ugly stik gx2 4’8” pole for years and looking to get something more sensitive that is still tough and reliable. For most trips I am either using Thomas buoyant lures or power bait. From what I’ve researched: ultra lite is a solid choice, 6 foot is a solid option for shore fishing which is what I do a majority of the time. And a moderate action is a good choice for the type of fishing I do. Now I could be totally wrong, I’m a hobby fisherman. Mainly just love spending time with my son and catching fish is a bonus (we usually do pretty well, most days hitting limit with 14-20” trout). Would be nice to hear opinions or experiences with kistler ultra lite rods. I’d be open
Bumper trim, 33’s, stock height Dobinsons suspension. Skids and sliders and it’ll be good to go.
