Watched Shelton again and I have to get this off my chest. This guy is fun to watch when he’s peaking: explosive serve, eye popping athleticism, dynamic playing style with a big forehand etc.

But I’ve never been a fan of a player who makes errors as bad and frequently as him…baseline mistakes are the real issue for me. Not “he’s aggressive and it doesn’t always pay off,” I mean genuinely bewildering unforced errors, sailing balls long on routine rally shots, going for lines he has no business going for at 30-30 in a tight set. No top-10 player should be making the volume of errors he makes on shots that aren’t even that difficult.

And the serve thing bugs me even more because people keep c

I’ve always played with an Ezone 98 (2022 version) unfortunately I lost my entire racquet bag (long story).

I just absolutely hate the new Ezone color, don’t want to spend $1k buying 3 racquets I don’t want to look at.

What’s the most Ezone-like racquet that’s not an Ezone? I was thinking Pure Drive 98 but doesn’t seem to be as widely loved.

The traits I like about Ezone 98 are ‘controlled power’. I have a flatter swing motion on my forehand so need something that doesn’t spray, but still has good power/spin combo.

2 days of WiFi outage. A technician came today and said all the access points are dead. Not one, all of them. They have to wait a few days for the distributor to send replacements. Both my wife and I work from home.

Will never rent a place that uses Araknis again. Complicated, unreliable, and replacing it is a pain.

Lately, it feels like movies have lost something. I wanted to look beyond gut instinct and see if the data backs it up. In many ways, it does.

Let's start with a high point. In 2007, There Will Be Blood and No Country for Old Men were released in the same year and competed at the Oscars. Two auteur-driven, original, high-stakes films with serious acting, cinematography, and direction. These were bold, uncompromising stories made for adults. It is hard to think of a single studio-backed film from the last few years that operates on that level, let alone two from the same season.

If you look at the 2000s and 2010s, you see more risk-taking and a wider spectrum of creative output. Directo

The Warriors' dynasty is clearly rooted in Steph Curry's generational shooting. But Klay Thompson’s two-way excellence, and the arrival of Kevin Durant were also critical elements to the Warriors dominance throughout the years. But Draymond Green has been the heart of their defense and a key playmaker in their offensive system.

Without Draymond, would the Warriors still have won multiple championships? Let's say they had one of these forwards instead...

  • Al Horford
  • Jae Crowder
  • PJ Tucker
  • Robert Covington

Would their replacement value be enough to fuel the Warriors through 4 championships? I'd argue definitely yes with Horford, potentially with the other guys.

I often see tennis players debating whether they want more control from their power racquet or more power from their control racquet. It’s important to understand the design differences that define these categories.

Control racquets typically feature thinner beams, allowing players to feel the ball as it sinks into the frame. This added feedback and stability result in a more measured response, with less inherent power. These racquets let players generate their own pace while maintaining precision.

On the other hand, power racquets usually have thicker, stiffer beams. This design reduces flex and increases energy return, causing the ball to rebound off the string bed with extra "free" powe
