About 15 years ago, I bought a Rainforest Autmation RAVEn to pull data from my smart meter. Each time I've moved homes, the software that I wrote to use it has required some fiddling to get working with the new electricity provider. Given that this is now ancient tech--long unsupported by Rainforest--I am looking for a more recent/modern option for pulling data from a smart meter.
Obviously, I want it to work on linux and not require any cloud nonsense to function. Any ideas? If it matters, the meter is on SoCal Edison.
I'd written some code to read data from the local API and display it. As of sometime last night, though, the local gateway has completely stopped responding to any requests--they all time out. I can ping it just fine--and it still shows up on the web interface. I've tried restarting the gateway, which seems to have had no effect on responsiveness.
Anybody seen anything like this before?
I've been playing around with pulling data from my quite new (installed in May) enphase system (big shout out to this GitHub repo).
While I've written some code to pull state information from the local API successfully, I'm having trouble with my tokens expiring extremely quickly: usually within 3-4 hours. Anybody else experienced this and/or know how to fix it?
For all rounds, assume that Dr. Doom has a Palace.
Rounds:
- The Phantom Thieves know the location and codeword to access the Palace. Doom is unaware of the metaverse before the Thieves enter for the first time.
- The Phantom Thieves need to find the location & codeword to access the Palace. Doom is unaware of the metaverse as in the previous round.
- The Phantom Thieves need to find the location & codeword to access the Palace. Doom is aware of the metaverse, but is unaware of the Phantom Thieves.
- The Phantom Thieves need to find the location & codeword to access the Palace. Doom is aware of the metaverse, and knows that the Thieves are coming.

In the Courtyard of the Tree, there is exactly one of the "chairs" that doesn't have a guardian in it--the one where you can find the Guardian Helmet and Guardian Armor. If you read the back of it, it belongs to "Guardian 167".
Should we take it to mean that 167 is Arissa (or Arissa was 167)? That seems like the most obvious reading, but I was wondering if there was anything else in the game that points toward or against that conclusion.
The location of the 167 "chair" also is a hint that points to it being Arissa--it is the closest one to the exit to the sewers that leads back to the first branch.
If true, this would lend credence to the "you were just convenient" (conjectured by either
I posted here about the extended wait--with no item or updates--a couple of months ago. Out of the blue--and with no communication or notification that it had shipped--the hoodie was in my mailbox today.
So perhaps 254 days (Apr 8 to Dec 18) is the expected wait time from Teespring these days. I thought there were laws about shipping delays and notification requirements, but what do I know.
I just started my NG+ and ran into what seems like a softlock in the second dungeon (VR Game).
After you have your sanity reduced to zero as part of the tutorial, I used a sanity item before the game spawned one in for me. Doing so prevented the scene from progressing as normal and effectively became a "you have to completely restart the game" soft lock.
Anybody else run into this?
As stated, Sauron is wearing the One Ring and holding out his hand for a handshake. He won't do anything until the handshake begins, and whoever is shaking his hand can't do anything to Sauron before the handshake.
Once the handshake begins, Sauron will respond in character if whoever shakes his hand is obviously trying to harm him. Victory means destroying the ring by any means before Sauron can break the handshake.
I recently constructed a ceph cluster to replace my old raid6 array that I'd slowly been upgrading/replacing for nearly 20 years.
Generally, I've been pretty happy, but I'm sort of looking to add some SSDs to it so that it can be a bit snappier (one of the things that I've done is to put my entire steam library onto it).
Before r/ceph got randomly banned (which is super annoying as it was probably the best resource around when I constructed the array), I'd read a post there strongly warning against using SSDs that lacked power loss protection. That brings me to my current question: what are good, relatively recent SSDs for use in a ceph array?
I just finished up my platinum of System Shock 2's remaster which required three playthroughs (one for each service branch). While I've played the game many times in the past, this time through it stuck out to me that there is only one person who ever breaks free from The Many's influence: Diego.
From a narrative standpoint, I don't really understand why Diego breaks free. He doesn't really contribute much to the story; he doesn't help with the final confrontations, he doesn't offer much other than encouragement.
At the same time, his freeing himself, in a sense, increases the culpability of literally everyone else in the game: The Many are not an overwhelming psionic force that can dom
This is probably the last update following in the line of my previous couple of posts.
The new stuff:
- I generated all seeds out to 3000000. As before they include breakthroughs and starting locations. Note that loading this is fairly slow.
- I screenshotted and captured soil data for Saltu and [Desertum](https://guyblade.github.io/stranded-seeds/desertum_
