Play Store has recently been swamped by thousands of GPT chat apps. Since access to OpenAI API costs money, every single one of these apps will have to monetize itself one way or another. Either a subscription, or ads, or just sneakily collecting your data.

But all I want is a simple, clean GPT chat app that uses my own OpenAI key. I prefer paying directly to OpenAI for what I use. So I made Good Guy Pete:

Since I have no financial interest in this, I made it open source:

Good Guy Pete's first principle is honesty and transparency: no ads, no nags, no in-app purchases. No fishy work

We commonly describe ChatGPT as "a large language model that just tries to predict the next word", and therefore it can't have emotions. But that image is also anthropomorphic, although more subtly so. We can vaguely imagine a person trained to do a task, being distanced from its content. Even if we're imagining a "machine", it is mentally still to some degree an actor, a subject. That's just the mental facilities we have; for the same reason our ancients attributed natural phenomena to spirits or gods. So, by creating this image of what's going on, we conclude there are no emotions to hurt in an agent just performing a mechanical task.

We can describe ChatGPT in a different way, basically

There are several videos of disassembling the Crafty, but I can't find any for the Mighty. I'd like to find out what exactly is in that space at the bottom, behind the display. Seems like a lot of volume in there, like it could hold another two battery cells.

Since the Mighty only has two cells, how is that space used?

It seems that everyone, everywhere is recommending to clean your gear, be it a bong, pipe or a vaporizer, using alcohol. However, I found that cleaning with cooking oil is actually more effective.

It may sound counterintuitive to clean something with oil, but remember that the resin in weed is oil-soluble. Oil has several advantages over alcohol:

  • more effective as solvent: it will dissolve the residue with no mechanical effort
  • thicker, so it reaches all the narrow corners
  • you can heat it up to increase efficiency (don't go over 40C, though, for safety)
  • non-aggressive to the plastic of your Crafty/Mighty
  • non-toxic
  • more widely available

You could just sink everything into a cup
