They have a pitiful amount of sustenance. You have to gnaw the meat off the bone, while holding them with your fingers; a lot of effort for little reward. The sauce may taste nice, but it's probably not healthy.

People who like wings are too stupid to ask: "Who is eating the rest of the chicken?"

Aanneming in die NG Kerk was amper 'n groter gedoente vir my.

Is daar ander volwassenwording (coming of age) rituele i

/s I'm a family physician working in mostly primary care. I like to write in full sentences, even in my own notes.

When I request investigations, I often try to give a relevant history and description of symptoms and clinical findings (I also tend to, as they say, "lay hands on" my patients). But usually, my two to three sentence request would be shortened in the report back to: "headache", "back pain. sciatica. avid cyclist." or even: "hemiplegia and hypertension". Funny enough, the reports themselves are often very clear and lengthy. (Almost as if the image is more interesting than the patient [this is a joke].) /s

When is too much information too much?

Ons gesin verag sentimentaliteit en die kommersialisering van menslike verhoudings. So ek soek foto's van die mees kitch kruissteek "wat is 'n huis sonder 'n moeder" muurhangsel. Verkieslik in 70s bruin en oranje. Ek wil dit graag vir my ma stuur.

Hi there,

I have a Titan Racing (a South African brand) gravel bike which is my main bike I use for road and gravel and some single track riding I do. I am not as active as I would like to be, but manage about 100 - 150 km a week. The bike is about 5 years old now.

The bike is carbon frame, with Shimano 105 components which I find dandy with regular self-service. I don't like the mechanical disc brakes much, but they are also not too bad when I tune them. The wheels were up to now, stock shimano hubbed alloy wheels, which I ran tubeless.

Last week, I crashed into a buddy on the group ride, tearing spoke with nipple out of the rim. That front rim is probably a goner. So now I am looking for

I have some invoices that I posted to my customers the previous month. Some remain unpaid, but the customer has continued to use my service, so I need to send them a new invoice this month. I see online that the advice is that I should enter a new line called "Balance brought forward", stating the unpaid amount of the previous month.

My question is, what then happens to the amount in "Accounts Receivable" ledger? Won't the outstanding amount then be doubled in that ledger? How do I prevent this double entry?
Many thanks for your input.

Instinct solar 2, am I being unrealistic?

Device Comparison / Recommendation

In 2020 I bought an Instinct solar 2. I enjoyed it and used it daily until 2024, when it started switching off every time the alarm went off. I believe it was a battery issue. Garmin replaced it for me with the same model in November. Suddenly, in mid January, it just died. It got hot on my wrist and the battery (fully charged that morning) ran down in minutes. Attempts at charging it leads it to becoming hot, and never gets more that 3% charge. So I assume the battery is fried again. This time after 8 weeks as opposed to 4 years.

Is this a problem with the instinct 2 solar? Did it happen because I (probably) received new old stock?

Obviously if I can get another 4 years out of a watch at

I'm turning 40 this year. My best friend in high school and I bonded over music back then. We were into anything that sounded good and that wasn't on the radio, or was at least 10 years old by that time. In South Africa that meant: The Shins, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Portishead, Bonnie Prince Billy, Dogs die in hot cars, the first Yeah Yeah Yeahs album, the first Kings of Leon album and some other stuff that I have forgotten. My friend also had a lovely singing voice, and sang in pretentious bands with cringy lyrics in university.

We lost some contact, and about 10 years after school, my friend came out publically. I was very happy to hear that he started to love himself and found some
