I’ve been surfing for a little over a year on a soft-top. Here on vacation in Oahu and looking to try a hard-top board for the first time.

It’s May so the waves aren’t very big, would I be better off going to Waikiki or North Shore? Looking for some nice, long, slow breaking waves that I can practice turns and get a feel for a real board. Any advice would be appreciated!
