So I had to slope the floors in a room I've been working on in order to avoid an unacceptable transition at the doors. It's all in plane, but slopes 1.25" over 11'. Now I'm putting in baseboard trim. It is 5" board with 2" moulding on top. Would you:

A) Make the trim level at the top and tapered on the bottom (i.e. go from 7" on one end of room to 5.75" on the other)

B) Follow the floor and have the top of the trim not be level.

C) Split the difference.

I'm usually pretty chill about traffic, but Lower Water is literally broken. It took 30 minutes for my bus to go one block. Full on gridlock. And it's been this way for months.

I know they're eventually going to have the transhipment facility to get the trucks out of downtown, but that's years away. There needs to be some sort of tactical intervention in the meantime. Close some of the parking lots that empty onto Lower Water. Change some of the pedestrian crossings to the red light style that clump the crossings together (and I say this as someone who is staunchly pro-pedestrian). Honestly maybe even close Sackville Street east of Bedford Row.

Is anyone on this sub aware of examples of communities where a mix of dwelling types is enforced by a single zone? For example, a zone that limits townhouses to only occupying 30% of the block, with lower density dwellings on the remainder.

I have a client community who currently takes this approach and I'm trying to move them away from it - it's a challenge to administer, it leads to "first-come-first-served" on blocks with mixed ownership, and it essentially short circuits any possibilitiy of the dwelling mix in established areas evolving over time.

However, their Council is digging in their heels a little bit on it, so in the event I can't convince them to abandon the approach I'm wonde

It was -8C this morning so I used the remote start in my app. Car starts fine and the app confirms "heating to 22C". However, when I get out to my car I find that the climate is set to "Lo" and its blasting cold air as hard as it can. Needless to say, it made for an unpleasant start to my morning.

Any ideas what would cause this? Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Roof Platforms

Question:question_mark:

Anyone put a roof platform on their EQEV? I'm considering the Thule Caprock but I'm curious how it looks on this car and if it has a noticeable affect on range or wind noise.

Or even any other roof platform that you have experience with?

I've found a feminine, stirling silver wedding band on the top of the "Rise Again" stairs at Queens Marque. It's a little tarnished but not too much so it can't have been there long.

If you're missing your wedding band, DM me with the size and a photo or description (details on stones if any, etc). I'd love to get it back to its owner.

Train 14?

Question

Anyone know what's happening with Train 14? It's been sitting in Moncton for the last 2 hours and 40 minutes.

Just got a 2013 XC90 and am looking ahead to winter tires. However, I can't for the life of me find steel wheels to fit this model. Bolt pattern is 5x108 with a 67.1 centrebore. No one seems to sell this combo. What do? I don't want to have to get a whole other set of alloys...
