Okay before I get into this I will say that I don’t know for sure that he doesn’t like me back but the chances are like 15% at the very most. He has a girlfriend so even if he does somehow feel romantically towards me, it ain’t happening. I should also mention that I am a trans man and he is straight, and while I haven’t physically/medically transitioned, I’m pretty sure he doesn’t swing this way. Also I apologize for this long ass post.

I recently moved out of state for college and I’ve been here for a couple weeks. It’s been an adjustment for sure. The guy in question is someone I’ve known since elementary school, we were close in middle school and did have a very brief romantic thing bu

Hi I’m an incoming freshman for the 26-27 school year, and way back in February I found a roommate online. We meshed pretty well and filled out our housing applications together and submitted them at very similar times. We were both firmly on time, we made sure we had all the same preferences listed, and we officially selected each other on the portal as roommate preferences.

She reached out to me today and told me that she got assigned to Forest and got the email 3 days ago. I’ve checked my portal, both my personal and IU email, and I’ve gotten nothing.

It says nothing about a roommate on her portal from what I can tell and we made sure that we were all set when we submitted them. She is

Okay so I’m an incoming freshman for Fall 2026 and I’m currently starting the process of buying stuff for my dorm. I saw that they don’t allow air fryers or anything with open heating elements, but how does that rule apply to microwaves? I noticed that they have the MicroFridge ones available to rent, but I’d rather just buy a microwave because then I’ll still have it for my own place afterwards and I’ll probably end up paying the same amount of money anyway.

How do people regularly go about having microwaves in their dorms? Do y’all buy the same brand as the ones available for rent? Does everyone just rent them? Am I making this more complicated than it actually is?

Hi there!! I’m a hs senior right now going into Computer Science at IUB next year. I’ve already committed and have pretty much taken every step I could towards cementing it.

I’m seeing a lot of advertising about the engineering LLC at IUB’s campus and a big part of it was that they have 3D printers available for LLC students. I’m not really super interested in the LLC because, while it does look fun, I want to be able to consistently meet people outside of my major to get more perspectives on various fields outside of compsci and engineering. Plus, my thinking is that the 3D printers are pretty much always going to be in use if they’re really that valuable.

But idk. Should I be concerned a

I’m sure there are a million posts like this already but I figured I’d still ask. For context, I’m a Computer Science major from the Chicago suburbs. I’ve taken 12 AP classes/tests (I’m counting Physics C as 2, Mechanics and E&M) and have dual-credit for Calc 3. This is my first time moving out of state EVER. Like ever. I’m looking for any, and I mean *any* tips about college life that I should know before I move in on campus in August. Dorm necessities, study habits, anything and everything.

I’m planning on being in the Marching Hundred too, in case there’s any advice for that.

so my girlfriend and I are together online. Yes I know how terrible that sounds but I know her to be legit (facetime, I’ve seen some of her legal documents, I’ve seen her college acceptance/rejection letters, etc) and she’s Egyptian but lives in Saudi Arabia (inherited her dad’s nationality). I‘m American, born and raised in Illinois, and we went through the college application process together, as we’re both computer science majors. For the record, we both identify as trans (I’m ftm and she’s mtf). I’ve done everything I can to try and help her. I go to a pretty good high school (well-ranked, several resources, etc) and I’ve shared as much advice with her as I possibly can. I’ve helped her
