When there are multiple celebrities in attendance, many of them come with publicists, personal assistants, private security, etc. Do they wait outside for when the show is finished? Is there space for them somewhere in the venue?

Especially for private security, they probably need to connect immediately when they leave the ceremony. How is all of that managed? Is there something like how school pickup works for kids?

I currently have an HA Green with the Google Nest integration.

I would like to replace my Nest Doorbell Battery camera with something that runs entirely locally via home assistant without relying on external apps or cloud services. Does any battery-powered doorbell cam meet that requirement?

And what other hardware would I need? If I attach a 10 TB drive to my HA Green, would I need anything more to keep a few days of video?

I'd appreciate help because the manufacturer websites are really bad at explaining whether they are storing it on some sort of cloud service or require setting up an account on an app.

My friend has had the same mailman coming to her house for years. A few months ago, he stopped coming, and various other people were delivering the mail instead. Today, she saw him for the first time since May and noticed that he was moving a bit slower than usual. She asked if he'd been working another route or took some time off. He said he was injured running from a dog!

In May, he was delivering mail, and an unleashed dog started barking and chasing him. In the process of running away, he slipped and got a concussion and other injuries. The owner took no responsibility. This poor guy is close to retirement!

It really sucks that people with dogs think it's ok to make everyone else's liv

I have home assistant with Zigbee and a couple Zigbee devices connected without issue. I just got a used Philips Hue Play Light Bar, and it will not connect.

  • I've tried connecting it the same way as usual, by clicking "Permit Join" and then plugging the device in for the first time. No luck.
  • I've every combination of on-off for 1second-1second, 8seconds-2seconds, 2seconds-8seconds... 5 times, 10 times... Nothing worked,

Is there any way to reset the device without the app or hub?

I still haven't ascended yet. The majority of my progress seems to depend entirely on whether I can luck out by (1) getting a frenzy from a golden cookie, (2) clicking "Force the Hand of Fate", and (3) getting a click frenzy.

I make WAY more progress that way than with anything else I do. Is that it for the game? Just get that combo? Maybe even wait until I can get a tripple combo with the per-building gold cookie bonus?

Any advice would be appreciate because I cannot add the bulb to HA via a Sonoff Zigbee usb stick.

Things I've tried:

Confirmed that the Zigbee Home Automation integration is running in HA.

  • Connected the bulb to a friend's Philips bridge to confirm that light works and has the latest firmware. I also made sure to reset it before removing it from that network.
  • I've seen multiple places recommend various forms of 8-seconds-on 2-seconds off repeatedly to invoke pairing mode in the bulb. I've done that for multiple minutes on end. I've tried it by counting and by using a stopwatch. No luck.
  • The bulb is about 4 meters from the HA+zigbee hub. And my phone while trying to connect is <1 mete

I have several types of devices in my condo that all work with Home Assistant seamlessly:

  • GE Cync bulbs - via Matter over Wifi
  • Zooz remotes and switches - via Z-wave

All work very well and smoothly.

But I have one Govee bulb connected via Matter (I think over wifi?). And it is extremely unreliable. Automations that work fine with all the other devices are ignored by the Govee bulb. I often have to run a script two or three times to get the Govee bulb to react.

I've seen a couple threads mention similar problems. But the proposed solution is to use the Govee app, which I'm not comfortable with due to the large amount of data it collects and because I don't want to rely on any externa

I like my old megabase. And I'm proud of having built two outposts devoted entirely to making rocket control units. It'd be so sad to have to make the major changes required for the upgrade to 2.0.

But also I do want to get the new version. Is this not possible?

I'm disappointed to have to choose between a classic game I've poured hundreds of hours into and a new game.

I started a new job last week. Today, I was told that I would need to access sensitive customer data as part of my job. I need to sign an agreement in order to access it, and the agreement mentions that I am "responsible" for not releasing it publicly.

I have no intention of purposefully releasing any private info, but what legal protections do I have if something gets out by accident? Would I have financial liability?

Do I have any protections employment-wise if I refuse to sign? None of this was mentioned in the offer contract, and I quit my previous job to start this one.
