I was talking with some friends about what made Wawa so much better 10-15 years ago than it is today.

One of the things we all agreed on is that the sandwiches were so much better when they used to slice their own meats and cheeses like a traditional deli.

If Wawa went back to its deli-style roots and got rid of overpriced and overrated low-quality stuff like the chicken bites and pizza, I think it would be a W for everyone.

What do you all think? What made Wawa great a decade ago compared to today?

Was watching the derby today and noticed how all the jockeys were small. I think it’s legit one of the only sports in the world where short guys dominate and get paid well for doing so. Kudos to those guys for getting into a niche sport and making the best of their small size.

I am seeing these annoying Evolv scanners being set up at more and more venues recently, including the casino, stadiums, some banks, convention centers and even at the zoo.

When they first came out about 3 years ago I was able to waltz right through with both my micro compact .380 as well as my snub nose revolver.

But now they pretty much catch it every time, and I have to go back to my car to put my CCW away.

Does anyone know if these annoying scanners will pick up a folding wallet gun? I was looking into the life card, because it completely folds into a solid rectangle, and looks nothing like a gun.

Yeah a single shot .22 is pretty weak, but I would still prefer having anything over no

I was a kid and only saw a few scenes on TV because I had to go to bed, but I’m pretty sure it was a movie and not a TV show.

Part of the premise is that this teenage kid can’t fight but he’s really good at sports so he can fight bad guys using sporting equipment like baseball bats, hockey sticks, tennis rackets.

I remember a scene where he’s fighting two dudes (burglars or intruders?) at home and he’s losing but then he sees a golf club and suddenly start whacking the hell out them using like an actual golf swing motion?

Mail

Rant/Vent

When I was a teenager and still lived with my parents, my mother would always open mail that was addressed to me without asking or telling me.

I told her that federal law says you’re not supposed to open mail that is addressed to someone else, and she told me to stfu and yelled me.

So one day I decided to show her how it feels. I opened her mail. She was furious and started screaming at me.

That’s the whole story. Anyone else have a similar experience?

As someone who enjoys playing RPGs and knowing how popular this genre of gaming is, there was always something that bothered me.

Why is it that we find it more fun to spend countless days and hours completing side quests and farming for resources in a game, but going to work and completing tasks in real life feels so dreadful and leads to procrastination?

My first thought was: Geez there’s something really wrong with us. Imagine how better off I could be if I had the same level of enthusiasm for real life as I did when playing a game and dumped all my hours into real life work instead.

And then the answer dawned on me… in almost every video game, the world is much more just, fair, equitab

Obvious spoilers here, so please don’t read if you haven’t played the DLC and don’t want the plot ruined.

Anyways, I’m sure there are hundreds of better scripts we fans could imagine for the Final Transmission DLC, but here one that’s an extremely simple and fairly minor change that would make a lot more sense and wouldn’t have to change any of the gameplay.

Basically you have most of the missions play out exactly the way they did, but at the end Dr Mahler finally meets up with Jacob and reveals that there is no escape ship. She apologizes and says they are both gonna die here, but they can send one final transmission to Dani before she gets too far.

Jacob asks her why she lied to him, an

I remember the mods here used to basically turn every post into a CMV (change my view) flair and had really weird rules about engagement, such as supporting comments being required to respond to the auto-mod, and threads being deleted if the OP didn’t respond to comments. Has this sub moved on from that really weird format? If so, good riddance.
