Anyone care to chime in? Curious about the breakdown between solo roles (i.e. "lone sysadmin") and team roles on this sub.

I'm in a solo role at a SaaS company (~12 devs).

Bonus question: which type of role do you prefer?

The main thing that prevented me from getting into Echo Arena was the amount of time each round took (each round, not each match). You'd wait for a match (ok, that part is unavoidable), wait for the round to start, someone scores (often right away), super long fireworks animation, then reset and wait again for the start of the next. It was just too much waiting for me so I lost interest despite the game itself being absolutely great. I know others had the same complaints and we shared them with RaD both here and directly. So... does anyone know if there has been any progress on this issue?

Think I've mostly talked myself into one of the two. Can find a manual 300/320SL in Europe in decent condition for ~€8k, auto 500SL in decent condition for ~€12k. Anyone have any experience with either they can share? Is the V8 worth going auto? Will be looking to daily it, good public transpo here so not a big issue if/when it acts up, mostly highway miles.

Hi all, I have the opportunity to help out with a migration from Kubernetes IaaS to PaaS/AKS. Trying to get myself up to speed so as to be able to be useful, so far working through Docker in Action and Kubernetes the Hard Way. Any with experience with a similar migration? Any suggestions for other must-read resources?

Hi all, some good dicussion in the master's post from yesterday, but mostly about a MBA. What does this sub think about a technical master's? E.g.: https://www.os3.nl/

The theses are impressive, but is there an advantage to having a research degree in networking if you're looking primarily at a non-academic career? It seems like the program has nice relationships with education and research networks (https://www.glif.is/participants/), which seems like it could be an interesting space to work in.

Really like the AG352UCG but I thought VA panels weren't supposed to have BLB. Most of it is perfect but there's a baseball-sized area of BLB in the lower right that's clearly noticeable in dark scenes. I can post some pics tonight but we all know how tricky it is to get accurate BLB pics.

So, any general info on BLB and VA? Your experiences?

Wondering if I should play the RMA game. It's livable as is but if I have a decent chance at perfect I think I'll try for it. Better luck with the Z35P maybe (same panel, but presumably higher binned)? Anything else I should consider?

Hi all,

Was hoping you might have some input on this build. Wasn't too worried about cost, mostly just want to pump solid 1080p FPS to my 144hz Freesync monitor in CSGO and DOOM. Interested in grabbing Vega when it comes out but it seems like that's months away so I got the RX580 for 300. Thanks!
