I fully explored lv 13-0 and almost completed the ground and researched everything available to this moment.

I don't understand how to get through lv 14 since I don't have anything to match that level of radiations.

How can I get the required gear?

Do I just need to grind population until i can build the great elevator?

Hi, I'm about to hurt my wallet and join the dark side with a cloud gateway fiber and a u7 pro wall

I currently have wireguard running with wg-easy on a vm inside my homelab, can I run it directly on the cloud gateway?

if so, can i limit the connection to specific mac address or geographic zones via the cloud gateway or I need a proper firewall?

Hi, I'm a software engineer with almost 15yoe and I've decided to trying to shift to a devops role, so I've been started to studying kubernetes.

I've already took the KCNA certification, I'm almost there to try the exam for CAPA and the next step will probably be CKA.

Linuxfoundation has started shoving thrive subscription up everithing and they're really pushing for it, but I keep reading good things about kodekloud to prepare for the exams (also, kk is 180$/y vs 360$/y for thrive)

have you tried thrive? is it really worth it?

Hi, I'm pretty noob and I'm trying to understand...

I've an application which uses a PVC from longhorn but the sync always breaks when the new replicaset tries to spawn the new pod, since it fails to connect to the pvc because it's already attached to the old pod

what's the correct way to handle this type of things?

I was thinking about a "detach" job in the presync phase, an "attach" one in the postsync phase and a syncfail hook to handle a rollback, but probably there's a simpler way to do this

If you're self hosting some services, you'll probably had to setup some database for those services, and it means different rmdbs (e.g. postgres, mysql...) and maybe even different versions of them at the same time

so, how do you manage them? do you setup a db for each service like with its docker-compose or in the same pod, or do you have some installed bare metal for all your applications?

  • each service installed bare metal on a single vm/lxc
  • multiple docker-compose on a single vm/lxc
  • a single docker-compose for all services on a single vm/lxc
  • a single docker-compose for different vm/lxc
  • kubernetes
  • installed bare metal on proxmox host (lol)
  • other

personally I use kubernetes and different docker-compose on different lxcs (eg. a single lxc for gitea and its runner, I had another for the *arr stack, etc) but I'm slowly migrating all on k3s

also, my k3s vms are on my 3-node proxmox cluster :D

what about you?

Hi, I'd like to expose a nfs share to use as a backup folder for my proxmox nodes but I'm really struggling understanding how acl works.

I also tried to set "everyone@ Allow | Full Control" but when I try to backup something from proxmox I get Permission denied

what am I doing wrong?

I'm on ElectricEel-24.10.0.2
