I have a Ryobi ry401014us which is not a part of the recent recall. Two weeks ago it died while mowing. The self propelled functionality still worked, but the blade wouldn't turn under its own power. It was able to spin freely if I pushed it, but when pressing the button to engage the blades it only made a tiny click noise.

I called in to Ryobi and they didn't ask any questions or have me do any troubleshooting, they just sent me to someone's lawn mower repair business for warranty work.

So far so good... But after they took a look at it the motor for the blades needs to be replaced and apparently it's on backorder. There's no estimate on when the motor will be available, apparently my r

Went to go steak shopping at Wild Fork and found that I'm no longer in a region covered by their memberships. It was the only place I could track down some cuts of steak and I could usually find some cheap cuts.

I've been shopping for a replacement service, but I generally find they're very expensive. Anyone have any suggestions for places selling meat for pretty cheap? I'm open to going to some place in person, vaguely Flint area. I just had really good luck with wild fork and am looking for a similar service.

Sorry if this isn't sous vide adjacent enough, this is just the only cooking sub I read and the way I cook steak!

I'm building and we've decided to do our deck after our builder is gone and we have COO. That has left us with an exterior door that needs to be closed. I'm trying to avoid installing one of those segments of railing that gets bolted up. I plan to build the deck within the next two years and just paid a lot of money for these doors. I don't really want to drill holes in them?

My inspector says that if the door is permanently closed it will pass inspection. Any suggestions on how to make that happen for an Andersen 400 French Door? Do I just lock it then install a blanking plate instead of handle and lock on the inside?

My builder has discovered that our front porch roof doesn't line up with the porch, specifically the posts. They're off by about a 2*4's width (the 4 side).

He's working on a solution, but I'm curious what solutions you guys have (or what solutions he comes up with I should watch out for). Siding guys are starting today, weather permitting and we were supposed to be moving in next week. Can this fix be made after certificate of occupancy?

I'm having some trouble with a 2450. Some clues:

Will start up and run normally. Idle control board LEDs are solid red and solid green.

If I start it up it will run for quite some time if no one is on it, control board lights are solid green and fast blinking red.

If someone is on it, it will stop after around 30 seconds. The led pattern changes to solid green, slow blinking red. No pattern to it, just continuous blinking about 1 second on 1 second off.

If it's running and no one is on the belt but we turn on the fan, the belt instantly stops. The LEDs go to solid red and green. When the fan is turned off, the treadmill goes back to running.

Incline doesn't seem to work at all.

Any ide

My house is nearing completion, the painter started last Thursday. I was in the house Monday night and was floored by the smoke smell. It smelled like a car someone had smoked in for years and years. Not the recent cigarette smell, the really gross one. Garage stunk too, and there were cigarette butts in the garage.

My builder promised none of his trades would smoke in the house. During construction I cleaned up tons of cigarette butts, but when it was just framing I let it go. No harm no foul.

Now it's a bit late in the game for that. The house is closed up and there's lots of surfaces to absorb smoke smell.

I messaged the builder. He said he'll text the painter but I don't know if th

I'm getting insulation in my house soon, an allowance item. I asked how much it would be to get insulation above the garage below a bonus room area. I'm fine with paying the increased cost from the quote, makes perfect sense to me. My builder wants me to pay a 10% change order fee plus 100 bucks.

No rework is required, we've only just gotten rough building inspection to pass.

Am I being unreasonable to not want to pay this? When I discussed change orders with my builder early on it sounded like he would only charge them if it was something big like moving a wall, etc.

The 5.7mm macncheese with a masterpiece arms 5.7mm upper - anyone know what magazine pairs with it? I'm assuming it hasn't got any printable mags, right? Also trying to figure out what people do for the front trunion and magazine release spring. I'm thinking those parts are probably the same as 9mm macncheese?

I'm building a house right now and want to make sure I'm not out of line. Many of the items in my contract are allowance, such as the lumber, electrical, etc.

I've run into difficulties determining if we're on budget. My builder is a terrible communicator and won't provide updates on how we're doing on our budget. For instance, we were quoted 78k for lumber in March 2022, but ordered lumber in December 2022. I expect we probably saved a lot of money there, lumber costs came down.

However, my builder won't give me numbers. He says that they take 90 days to do an invoice and that it's to my benefit because it means he does fewer draws. Okay, great... But it's been 180 days. If I call the l
