About thirty minutes ago, I one itty53, bore witness to what I can only describe as dark and black witchery within the city limits.
For some occult reason that can only be rationalized as the devil's magic - get this: water began falling from the sky.
I shall retreat in prayer that this black enchanting of the cosmos is only the temporary anger of a lesser imp, and not the damming of our fair community by the Dark Lord himself.
I've got an older garage door, extension spring style, E900 hardware. 2 springs on either side, 4 in total. Each was marked with a Holmes label, SL728. They are lock-ends. These are them. These are them.
They're no longer made. Now Holmes makes the plug-end model, P728. From what I can gather from Google, they connect to the same E900 door hardware, just requiring an additional part to connect both springs to the
We live in California, central valley (Fresno, specifically). Residential area, trees of a size you'd expect for larger trees in a suburb. I got an estimate on tree trimming today. It's three trees to be trimmed, one in back down to its main split trunks, and the other two much less so: just taking about 15 ft or so off the branch ends. Though these two trees are bigger than the first, they're out front and over a wide open lawn. The one in back is against a wood fence. Probably 7 years of growth to be removed, and wouldn't need further effort for another 5 years (for all three).
I got quoted 550 for the one tree out back, and 1400 for all three. I talked that down to 1200, which I think is

A few weeks back I saw a bottle of Clearly Canadian featured in a post about nights in the '90s, and while I hadn't thought about that stuff in many many years, I could immediately recall the taste. Turns out they still sell the stuff, but it's ridiculously expensive and hard to find (between $3-$5 per bottle).
But I found some, and then I made a simple recipe to replicate it.

8 cans flavored, unsweetened, sparkling water. No sweeteners at all, just flavor and sparkling water. I use a brand called Bubly. Pick whatever flavors you like.

Sugar, about half a cup, and an equal amount of clean wat
Hi guys. I don't post around here often but I've been in the 'weed scene' for many years, on the growing end of things (though I smoke, of course). Foxfarm is considered the "weed grower's" nutrient, for good reason: it's quality stuff. A bit on the expensive side, but if you're not familiar with making your own soils and nutrients, Foxfarm makes it pretty easy.
Through that time I have heard the same myth repeated over and over from countless people in all sorts of places regarding the Foxfarm schedule: everyone says it's too strong, cut the measurements in half or you'll burn your plants. And everyone believes this because they see it happen: they 'follow the schedule' and then they burn
... in this moment, I am euphoric.
In the end you carefully sweep up every grain of sand and its gone forever. In our case pixel by pixel.
I'm trying to set up a deck for vampire devotion and can't figure which card(s) is/are blocking it. Can anyone help me out? Deck in link below.

It actually rained in Fresno last night, for a solid two minutes (in case you missed it, you're not imagining things, your car needs a wash because it rained).
I know we were all stoked and a number of neighbors wandered outside to gaze in awe at the magic sky water. I did too. But something followed that has made my day already: I smelled petrichor. Petrichor is that familiar smell we all recognize when it rains after an extended period of dry weather. Humans are almost certainly conditioned by millions of years of evolution to really like that smell, I don't think anyone can claim to know someone who hates it. It's a wonderful scent.
There's a whole mess of interesting science behind wh
Anyone who knows more about this than me? I've worked with QR generators and the new built-in QR generator in Brave made some odd choices.
To find it, click the URL bar and note the icon that appears on the right side by the Brave icon. That's it.
This is a high level QR code -- higher levels in QR means more dots ("modules"), means more information to be encoded (to keep it simple). But the URL I tested didn't need that level or close to it. http://www.reddit.com/ should only need level 2 (22 characters in binary == lvl 2M), but Brave's QR code generated is level 5.
Here's my issue with it: QR codes are kind of meaningless to use online.
