What do the numbers mean?

Question about Claude models

why is todays new model 5.5 and not 5.1? what difference would it make other than to indicate a large performance gap? why did opus go 4.6, 4.7, 4.8 then directly 5? why did sonnet go directly from 4.6 to 5? why is haïku still at 4.6?

in Order of the Phenix during her first lesson, she tells the students that a theoretical learning of spells will bé enough and Harry gets stuck on the frustration from his claim that Voldemort returned.

What would have been the official response if he had cited actual threats that happened the prior year ? for instance, professor Moody being replaced by a Death Eater, or the Death Eaters wreaking havoc during the quidditch world cup (i'm not sure what the official statement from the ministry on those events are). Or he could even go full r/MaliciousCompliance and ask about the threat from Sirius Black, who had broken into Hogwarts and is still actively hunted by the ministry.

I get the general idea that opus is better for reasoning and sonnet is more efficient for simple tasks, but what makes a task complex ? How can i know if what i'm doing requires deep steps or if a simpler model can handle it ?

I'm a product manager and i want to use Claude to help me build PRDs, write test scenarios and find edge cases. I want it to have the most context of how my product works and what the target users are and how i write my usual documents so it formats them in the same way. How do i know if sonnet is enough or if i need the fable with extra hard thinking ?

I was getting tired of darkrai and igglybuff so i went back to the drawing board.

Warning : this method may include bending your morals, its not for the feint of heart.

So basically i hachted a genius plan, with this about half the time when i see a darklybuff deck it doesn’t play out well, but ymmv.

Here is the plan : build and play the deck yourself. As is the case with everyone else, when the opponent plays it, i get wrecked 90% of the time. So now i still have to battle those awful decks, but at least i get to see mine brick often enough to think that the deck maybe isnt that great.

I hope this helps you as it has helped me!

I've seen a lot of posts in the past weeks about how its an unfair advatange for PSG to have games rescheduled and that its a determining factor in their success this season, yet not one single post mentions the fact that Bundesliga gives Bayern a major advantage : they only have 18 teams so thats 34 games per season instead of 38. 4 full games that Bayern doesn’t have to play, giving them plenty of time to rest and be in better physical shape than teams from the other 3 top leagues.

If you need any other proof that this is a big factor, Ligue1 reduced their number of teams from 20 to 18 two seasons ago to account for the extra matches from the new formula of the champions league and one p
