What are your predictions for modern? What do you expect to see and more importantly, what do you want to see?

I am so excited to see what people bring!

After 3 intense rounds of swiss the Canadian Nationals has cut to the Top 16 teams.

With Ant W, Isaac AB, Louis-Marc Dionne, and Giordano Chiello all having clean 3-0 records going into cut. Ant has even picked up the whole 900 points in their 3 games.

The rest of the top 16 all have 2-1 records with the bottom of the cut having only 265 points! The level of competition looks incredibly fierce. A big thank you to Studio Staja for hosting the event, I cant wait to see how the rest of the games playout

I had the amazing opportunity in Lethbridge to host the live stream of the first champion clix event outside of ottawa here in Canada. The local game store called Showcase was an absolute treat to work with and the players there were welcoming.

Commentary of high level games isnt something that is done often in Heroclix coverage from what I've seen - so we swung for the fences and did it live.

Some Major creators like Dice Station Zebra, were in the chat chearing on their favorite competitors which made hosting the stream even more fun.

Not only did the movie release recently but Thunderbolts is also one of the easiest keywords to cheat in modern right now, so the challenge is simple:

Im excited to see what everyone comes up with, hopefully we can inspire some cool teams for people to bring to their locals

What do you all want to read, watch or listen to when it comes to heroclix content?

Im a huge believer that more content helps a game grow, especially fan made content like blog posts, youtube videos, or podcasts. My hope is that people like myself that are interested in making content, or people that already do, will be able to read through the post and see what people are hungry for.

Its been a huge mental shift for me to try to get back into Modern teambuilding. With the Collectors Trove on the Horizon I think its Dr. Doom that has my attention at the moment, but what about everyone else?

What pieces are you building with or building around atm?

With the 400 point Silver ROC's around the corner im taking some time to try and figure out whats hot and whats not.

Do we think mission point win cons are viable? If so, which ones are worth theory crafting?

We were trying to get our initial kill on this boss and kept coming back to how to deal with the orbs, the damage is massive and seems to shred through most blocks as well. However anything that can take damage seems to block it. The Stoneshape flask and the druid Tree summon where what we used in our successful duo attempt to completely mitigate this mechanic.

Im glad this works because it means that any class can deal with this mechanic fairly easily.
