This is a weird one but it was how I felt after seeing the Vancouver show on Friday. I kept telling myself not to get too excited but failing. For months and months my expectations kept building. When the show finally came it somehow not only met my expectations but exceeded them.

Afterwards I realized, I haven’t felt that way since the movie The Dark Knight came out in theatres. Months of lead up with the pay off so good.

If you’re on the fence about getting a ticket do it now. Every song was a banger, the stage presence was legendary, the band was end-of-the-tour tight and the crowd was electric. It may never happen again in a 500 person venue, so pumped I got to experience that show

The problem with quitting social media is I need it for so much. My business my band the social scene etc. I tried multiple times but always came back into familiar habits. I was reading this productivity book though and the suggestion for Newsfeed Eradicator came up. I had gone through so many different apps but this one felt like it had promise.

For Facebook for example, my problem wasn't messenger, or marketplace, or events. It was the things designed to distract me from whatever I was trying to accomplish. I go on to ask a friend about a gig on the weekend, the first thing I see is a guy wrestling a 30 foot long snake, then a beautiful woman in a bikini is pulling off crazy tricks

Curious on how y’all approach the mix of optimizing your business vs going out and doing stuff. I’ve really been struggling lately with my timing because I try to roll out the perfect job description or landing page and feel paralyzed. What’s your process? Any hints I can work with?

Our corgi is new to us, we’re at about week 3. We’re having major issues with excitement levels. The Playful Biting is the worst, he’s drawn blood with both my 5 year old son and an 11 year old this week while they were playing chase and then tug o war.

He’s also terribly socialized and has attacked a couple other dogs at the beach, most recently drawing blood. I think most instances were with intact dogs (he’s neutered.) We’re thinking it’s time for a muzzle which is upsetting but obviously this is not sustainable.

None of that is even touching the barking, leash pulling, etc. I’m pulling my hair out here. Like I said he’s so good 90% of the time. 4 years old, and a rescue from South Kor

Hey all,

I’m in a stage of business now where we have demand exceeding our capacity. We’ve lost a couple key players in the last few years and I’m having trouble replacing them but leads for clients keep flowing.

This is a music school by the way so it’s teachers and students. I’ve been considering using the same marketing techniques that I’ve had success with for students but moving over to targetting good teachers (google ads, referall programs etc.). Has anyone gone throw this phase of growth and care to share any wisdom?

Thanks!

I coach youth ball hockey. Recently had a grandpa clocking his kid’s shifts with a stop watch. He came up me to after a game with “I don’t want to complain…” (which btw is the sentence followed by the most complaints in human history.)

Essentially, if his numbers are correct his kid had 25% of the playing time (8/32 minutes) there’s three lines, so theoretically he should have had 33%. Or 90-120 seconds more. I’d guess it’s timer error or just natural variance of when shift changes happen. His kid is a fresh rookie but I roll lines to the point that I still had him out on the powerplay with a minute left in a tie game. If ever there was an opportunity to stack lines, that’s it. Every other

Bouchard, McDavid and Draistl all played more than the goaltender in almost half a period. The trio got a 10 second rest after tying the game with back to back 90+ second shifts and were clearly gassed for the final goal.

To me, that's on the coach and it was a terrible way to throw out an all-time performance by McDavid. Trent Frederic and two other players didn't play for the Oilers in the final 9 minutes. Adam Henrique only played 1:25. These guys aren't AHLers there's not reason to keep them stapled to the bench in a tie game, The NHL's oldest team needs to find a way to balance their minutes. Knoblach will have to trust his depth for the Oilers to have a chance to make a run.
