Is it just me?

Discussion

I have the Amazon Prime video subscription. Halfway through an included film I stopped the film for about 20mins. When I returned to the film , it wanted me to rent or buy, and refused to show the film for free. It's not the first time this has happened to me. Probably time to stop my subscription.

This is just a security warning. I've heard that strangers are texting folks, trying to lure them to respond and reveal information. Do not respond, block and mark as spam.

After a few years away from cruising, we finally took a cruise on the amazing Anthem of The Seas. Here's my tips:

Drinks packages are expensive. A beer costs about $10, a wine $10 upwards, cocktails $15. Don't be pressured into a package if you barely drink.

Movies cost $13 each. I brought a tablet onboard filled with my favourite content from Netflix.

As you board for the first time, bubbly will be offered. Look for it! Art auctions also offer free drinks.

Tempted to go to the spa for treatments? It's much cheaper to get them at the next port.

Now let's talk food. There's an amazing variety of food, don't miss out. It broke my heart to see folks eat just piles of toast for breakfast, t

My experiences so far.

I have gone through the education system and have attained several technical qualifications, so you'd think I'd debunk all my own experiences, but I have not. Anyway, here they are.

My father died when I was young. A few days after, his death, my mother, sister, and I were in the kitchen, when the water pipes started to make loud banging noises. Mother started to scream, telling it to stop, and it did. I am a qualified plumber, and I've never seen pipes make that kind of noise in 20 years.

Fast forward to my tradesman's days. I'd typically visit 5 properties a day, so that's a lot of houses. Every year or so, I'd enter an empty house, and get a sense of being watched and not feeling welco

We've been told ingesting plastic is bad, yet many of us use plastic chopping boards including professional kitchens, then use scraping tools on the boards. I'd love to know your views on this.

Took me a while to realise this, and wish I knew this before we bought our car. You are not tied to the fiance company your garage offers. Get the cash price for your car, then shop around for the fiance company which gives the best APR.

I looked at brand new cars recently, (but ended up with a second hand car due to value for money). Most of them have built in sat nav, cruise control, and lane assist, so there's stereo front cameras, GPS and some fancy computer onboard. Not much of a technological leap to enforce auto speed limiting on future cars. Would you buy an auto speed limiting car? Would your regular 'dum' car now jump up in value because you can speed and others can't?
