I get the scam involving a donation and call for full or partial refund claiming a mistake. But when there is no contact before or after? What is the scam when a bad check is sent to a nonprofit and then it bounces and a fee is assessed? Any risk for the nonprofit other than the fee?

NC/SC Homes built on pilings often have a storage unit under the home, often in the middle. Framing clearly allows for insulation between studs. With colder weather, and with plumbing often connected in that space (obviously with insulated pipes) plumbers are saying to put a heater that will kick on when temps drop below 40. Big box hardware have heaters but they do not seem to be designed for this use. Any thoughts on this suggestion vs a basic minisplit system. Thanks

Of all of CDC's decisions, this one must come down as a complete failure. Food is terrible in a foodie town, decor comes straight from cheap hotel dining area, and transition for old members could not have been worse. Over the years, we took dozens of out of town guests to Austin to eat at the old UT Club so they cold see the stadium and the longhorn decor. Their lunch buffet was one of the better ones in town, including the Friday Shrimp fest. I wish upon the AD and the Administrators of UT a lifetime sentence of having to eat the food service there now. Most of my friends have quit the current club.

This is a 8x12 extension of house on first floor out from the upstairs section floor with roofing not connected to any other attic. If roofer is replacing decking in area that is not accessible from attic, would you have insulation batts available so that the old r20 blow in could be replaced when the decks come off? Would you buy faced or unfaced batts? i think Rockwool is a better product so maybe that would be the play.

For those of you who have never been, Ranch 99 has so many products including the highly respect Tantung Rice Cooker. We have used those for decades and unfortunately, prices have gone from $50 to close to $200 but they work so well. It is about $185 at Ranch 99. Great supply of food products.

When Toyota ends a model cycle, like 6 cylinder Highlander or the old 4Runner, the models become in high demand. I am not sure I see that happening with the Rav4 gas. Maybe Toyota buyers have switched mostly to hybrids and thus the 2026 is of high interest. Not sure if 2026 has apple carplay or whether audio system is all pay to pay subscriptions. Any thoughts on demand for the gas 2025? I prefer gas because of our driving needs.
