Hi all.
I'm in the middle of making my first DYI barefoot sandals. Sole choice is done, but about the straps, I'm torn. Undecided on form factor, material, size... everything.
So I'm asking those who already completed such a project: what did you use, and why?
Paracord or webbing? Round or square section? Nylon, polyester, leather, hemp? Is a 4 mm diameter enough or should I go for 5, 6, more?
My main concern is comfort, then robustness. Elegance, not so much.
Also, I have a sensitive spot just above my ankle. I plan to tie my sandals in a way that the straps won't bother it but, just in case they moved and touched it, what might be the most "forgiving"?
Thanks!
Hi all!
Coming back after a while (sorry!), was trying to check the Recommended Routine again, but apparently I have issues with the sub's wiki.
Basically, many (most?) links don't seem to work for me. And if I manage to get close to what I want (say, the beginning of the RR), then I'm unable to scroll the text.
So, I see the RR index but I'm unable to get to its actual content, either by selecting a paragraph link or by manually scrolling down.
This might well be some sillyness on my side but, just to be sure before I go mad trying to fix it, can you confirm the wiki is ok? You can access all the content you want, right?
Thanks!
Hi all!
Just found this specimen in the wild:
> The radiative decays of mesons to ω and φ are believed as important tags of [...]
The meaning is clear enough (at least the English one, let's not discuss physics). But the grammar seems a bit weird.
Now, I'm not a native speaker, but I would have said "are believed to be" or "are considered as".
Which is the correct wording, here?
Thanks!
Hi all!
I'm an absolute beginner at juggling, trying to learn 3-ball cascade. Watched a few videos, then began practising... been at it a couple weeks now.
My throws are still very inconsistent (different heights, too forward/backward, too much on the sides, the works). More practice is needed, sure. I even went back from trying 3 ball flash to single ball throws. But I also started to think if there is some detail worth paying more attention to.
Like, what's the best way to move when you throw? Arms follow a "scoop" arc, ok, but then what? Do you use your wrist to give momentum to the ball, or just your hand? Is it best to have the ball more towards your palm, or your fingertips, when yo

Buongiorno a tutti.
Grazie!
