There’s been a lot of questions like these recently.

The answer is almost always - slow down your practice, go through the mental work of figuring out what works for you. Slow down the tempo of whatever section you’re working through, try it with any combination of fingerings you can think of, and ramp up the tempo as you go. You’ll naturally find out what fingering works for you. And then, along the way, you’ll be locking into your brain/hands the experience of how you navigate difficult passages, and sight reading will be easier in the future. For the young folks out there, going through this process instead of posting on Reddit asking “how do I do this” will cement in you the skills of

I recently went to some fusion restaurant that had a (pork) tonkatsu with an arbol chile salsa, it was amazing. I came home and stared at my bag of dried arbol chiles trying to come up with new ways to utilize one of my favorite salsas.

Let’s brainstorm! How would you apply your dried chile salsas to meals outside of the typical mexican/latino food?

West coast wordler checking in. I only got into the game last October. I’m about to go on a 3 day Disneyland park hopper trip. I haven’t gone on any vacations since getting into wordle. What are your ideas for making sure you keep the streak going while you’re tuned out of your regular routine?

Approaching due date

Seeking Advice or Support

We tfmr’d our son at 20 weeks on July 30th due to t21 diagnosis. He was our first child. We’ve been going through hell with the grief. In some ways it gets better, in some ways it doesn’t. I was also (illegally) let go from my job in the beginning of July shortly after I announced my pregnancy, so finding/maintaining employment has been hard with the grief. All that to say, it’s been a really rough year.

Our due date - December 13 - is approaching, and my husband and I have been having an extra hard time compared to the last couple months. We were expecting a Christmas newborn, thanksgiving feasts with the excitement that comes with the third trimester, decking the halls of our new house t

Basically just that.

I just started a new job this week, so I’m meeting new people for the first time since my tfmr in July. I don’t have any other children. I was 22 weeks along and it feels very much like I am a mom, that I have a child, but idk how to answer follow up questions like “how old”

I’m sitting in my car after basically running out after answering with “no, but we’re hoping for one soon,” which feels like a lie. And the person that asked me shares this desk with me and we do emotional work that requires processing emotions together (social work) so it feels really weird to lie.

I’m thinking about walking back in and saying I’m sorry, idk why I lied I kinda freaked out, I los

I did read the wiki, however it kindof confused me unfortunately. I did see that telus was a good option, but navigating their page doesn’t really confirm what kind of coverage I would receive.

I’m traveling to Vancouver for a weekend in December. I’d like to have cellular and data service while I’m gone. I use an iPhone 13 (no sim slot), however I also have an older android phone with a SIM slot.

I also have a grandfathered plan from like 2011 for my iPhone. So ATT won’t help me unless I ditch that plan for one of their newer plans, which I refuse to do. I’m unsure if I can even use an eSIM on my phone

I apologize if this sounds too whiny, but I’ve always had a difficult relationship with food/eating/body image.

I’m just curious if any of yall found yourselves gaining weight AFTER tfmr. We terminated at week 20, and the entire pregnancy I was struggling to gain weight despite eating. Even during the first trimester I was able to eat pretty much like normal. Tbf I don’t eat a lot in general. I did start kinda forcing/encouraging myself to eat more in the last weeks of my pregnancy.

But still, I gained maybe 5lbs throughout the whole experience. And now, 2.5 months later, I’ve gained another 7lbs despite cutting back a little on my food. What gives? I have picked up some drinking again,

Hi all. This is my first post in this sub, didn’t realize it existed. I’ve been posting in the tfmr support subreddit, but this feels more accurate to what I’m experiencing!

I made the choice to terminate my baby due to t21 on July 28th this year. Long story short, It was very traumatic, two weeks after termination I passed a giant blood clot in the toilet in the middle of the night and when i stood up I lost consciousness and smacked my face into the bathtub. Sept 3 I got a whole set of brand new teeth after a bunch of brutal dental surgery 🙃

Anyway. I got my first period on Sept 26th, it ended 10/1. The last time I was pregnant it happened like 4 days after my period ended.

I have been

I’ve been feeling down following pregnancy loss. My husband and I have are trying again and I’m a couple days late on my period and feeling funny so, naturally, I’m daydreaming about a positive test. And remembering how beautiful the moment was when I told him I was pregnant the first time 💞

So, I wanna hear your stories of how you announced to your partner or family that you were pregnant! Let’s do some manifestation!

Sorry just kinda freaking out here.

I’m an alcoholic and also a big hypochondriac with a panic disorder.

I drank a couple of bottles of wine today, but before going to bed I thought to take 25mg naltrexone that was previously prescribed to me because I don’t want to continue drinking.

I feel weird now, and sleepy. Is this safe?

Feelings of guilt.

Getting It Off My Chest

Recently a thought of threads have been popping up about my Reddit feed about how t21 isn’t a big deal and the babies will lead perfectly happy lives.

It’s really triggering my feelings of guilt having going through tfmr at 20 weeks for this reason. We spent a lot of time deliberating the decision. This was going to be our first baby and we didn’t want our other future children - his little siblings - to be saddled with the caretaking of their older brother after we’d passed. This on top of wanting to save my baby from what would likely be a lifetime of pain and confusion.

I already feel like the worst mom in the world and I just want my baby back. But he wouldn’t be healthy. So seeing s

Not much of a question here, had the evacuation part of the d&e on Tuesday (today’s Thursday). Obviously, we’re going through it.

I’m just wondering if anyone else has is experienced this, if it’s it normal or I should seek help etc.

My husband and I are usually pretty securely attached but independent - ie, we are really not a codependent couple. We communicate our needs and provide each other support and in general have a great relationship.

After this procedure, I’m just finding it SO. DAMN. DIFFICULT. to be away from him. I usually like going out for lunch by myself, enjoying my podcasts on my drives, but I really almost no-call no-showed at my new job today because the thought of
